I really wanted to like this device, but in the end found that it simply does not do what it claims to do.

The RF function works well as expected, and can change colors with a simple touch on the color ring. The remote is very quirky i.e. sometimes it works (indicated by a pulsing LED light on the remote itself during transmit) but I have to often play with the remote and shake it to get it to come on).

Remote and Controller Quality:

The box seems to be well made, I love the set screw terminals on this. Remote is somewhat large, but well made smooth heavy plastic (glossy).

Features:

Color change pattern auto slow fade non-existent!! I can not get mine to automatically cycle through the colors no matter what. I can change it from the remote by swirling the color dial around, but that is a manual change.

Dimmer the dimmer settings here are lacking. I can barely tell that the unit is dimming the LED strips or running up to full brightness.

RF Range Range works well, even inside a bathroom vanity wooden cabinet.

Overall, I am reverting back to the IR controller to control my LED's. I wanted this to work out and have everything hidden from view, but this falls short of being acceptable for me. I would suggest you find an another model/manufacturer if you must have an RF RGB controller. I cant say I am happy with my decision to purchase this, but it could be that I have a faulty unit, but I am not going to buy another one to find out.

I used this to control a RGB led light strip I installed under my RV awning. The remote works great from anywhere inside or outside the RV and at least 50 ft. away. I installed the controller inside the cubby with the RV battery charger. The controller can't be seen but works great!
