The product description and product details don't match, but it is a fine lantern. Just don't expect to light your way on a lonely, dark night through the woods, or expect to use it as a signal beacon if lost.

Strangely, the first thought that popped into my head when actually holding the lantern was to go out at night, wave it, and yell, "Bring out your dead".

I going to use this lantern as a Halloween prop in my cemetery scene this year. It looks great. It would not really work well as an actual light source though. Purely decoration.

I wrote a review earlier on this product. Its not what I wanted but I was credited for the item and the company was great about it. It would be great decoration during Halloween and such, very safe to have around children. I would recommend buying from this company.

For a Halloween prop this if fine but it's not appropriate for home decor. It's only dark paint that has been brushed over plastic that makes it look old from a distance. Up close, even from across a room it is obvious that it is painted plastic.

I will use this during Halloween however for my year-round home lantern, I prefer the Mark Feldstein & Associates LNT8 Portable LED Lantern with Frosted-Glass Shade.

One reviewer implied this was a high quality product worthy of display. Eh. I wouldn't buy it to decorate my home. It looks pretty good from a distance, but it's just cheap, thin metal, and a flashlight bulb up close. Don't get me wrong, for the price, and for use in a Halloween display, it's perfectly fine, but it's no showpiece... nor would you expect it to be. I wish it had at least been LED or at least "weathered" glass as the photo implies.
