I think this 1-Watt LED which uses 2xAA is the best compromise between light output and battery life. I like this flashlight for several reasons:

1) 45 Lumen output

2) 3.5 hour battery life

3) Has lanyard

4) Weather resistance

5) Light output is very white and useable

6) ON/Off push button, never like twist on/off

7) Sturdy aluminum and compact, so doesn't take up a lot of space

8) Use 2 AA, never like ones that use AAA or expensive Lithium battery

9) And looks nice!

I was using a Maglight mini flashlight for work and found the twist-on, twist-off action cumbersome particularly because it required two hands. Very often my hands were full and I had to put stuff down to turn the Maglight on. I wanted a similar flashlight but one with a real push button switch so I could operate it with one hand. The small, metal Energizer flashlight has such a pushbutton and I had hoped it would fit into my Maglight holster. Unfortunately, it's just a bit to large in diameter to fit so I simply bought a larger universal holster. Other than that, I love the Energizer flashlight as it is well made and very bright.

If you're tired of the awkward twist switch on Mini Maglights, you'll love this Energizer flashlight.

I bought 3 of these flashlights to replace the conventional ones that I kept in our cars. I used Energizer Lithium batteries for their long life in use and exceptional storage life (what car flashlights do mostly). I couldnt be happier. While the barrel of the light is a liitle narrow for a good grip, it compensates by taking up very little space in the glove box or door pocket. Overall, highly recommended!

This Energizer flashlight produces bright light (as expected for an LED flashlight), and is simple to use (by pressing the on-off button on the side of the barrel with a thumb). Its length is convenient at just over 6 inches.

Many other LED flashlights are more complicated (with multiple modes) or are harder to use (by pressing a stiff on-off button at the end of a barrel with an index finger, or by twisting a bezel with a second hand).

This flashlight is not as long as its specification above suggests. Though the plastic packaging in which the flashlight ships is over 9 inches long, the flashlight itself is not much longer than 6 inches. (So you should not let the apparent long size listed above deter you from considering this handy-sized product.)

The listing for this product would be clearer if its title above would include the product's brand name, and if its specifications would list the length of the product (instead of its packaging).

This product is reasonably priced. An order for a couple of these flashlights arrived promptly. This flashlight's simple operation and durable construction suggests it is appropriate for family use.

I have a couple of Energizer LED flashlights of some type (no name, no number on them) that I've had for 2-3 years. One died from being dropped too many times and the other is still going strong. So, I've searched for the same Energizer light to buy a few more, but to no avail. This one sort of looked like it but it's not it. It's an OK light but it doesn't fit in my belt light holder thing unless you remove the rubber hand grip. Yes, it comes off but not easily, in case you were wondering. And the On/Off button is on side of the head instead on in/on the butt cap. And the head is a little large for my liking. The light is bright enough the lens is the magnifying type. It's an OK light for the truck or around the house but for work it's just not what I want. I would have felt better about it if it was $5 cheaper, but they do give you two AA batteries. That's worth something, right? I wish I could find those old Energizer LED lights again. Definitely worth the price, whatever it was.
