I purchased these in several different sizes and linked them together. The Kichler 12212SS are very nice undercabinet lights because they are entirely made of stainless steel and glass -there are no cheap looking plastic trim pieces. I spent way too much time researching lighting options and learned that nothing compares to the quality of Xenon lights. LEDs still can't get anywhere near the nice color rendition and evenly spread glow of Xenon.

What you can't see in the product photos or manual is where the electrical knockouts are. There are a whole bunch of mini knockouts all the way across the housing, so the electric cable can enter at any point in the back. This comes with a mini cable clamp that will adapt to the smaller than usual knockout hole. A regular size armored or NM cable fits fine with this included clamp.

Change the bulbs by sliding the glass face forward. If you have a valence under the cabinets and install the lights toward the front and very close to the front, it might be hard to slide open the glass cover. In my case I don't have a valence so even with the 1" thin profile it is 1/4" lower than my cabinet face, but it actually looks very nice since it is fully stainless steel matching the appliances.

This 120V model doesn't need a transformer so that's one less thing to break. The difference between the 120V and 12V type is that the 120V bulbs are a bit more fragile to shock and vibration, and burn a tiny bit warmer in the color temp compared to the 12V bulbs. Sometimes the 12V transformers blow out after a few years, and I don't want to mess with having to open up the case and change it, so I'm glad I found this nice Kichler fixture that uses line voltage.
