My wife and I have a large art collection; painting flow all the way to the 10' ceilings. I ordered at least a dozen of these lights with remotes. They worked pretty good the day I installed them. That day was the END of the GOOD. After turning them off for the night, they never worked again. Every light fixture drained the batteries. I put in new batteries, and again they drained the batteries. I have had them over 6 months, and my wife has insisted everyday that I send them back to Amazon. I am NOW ready to return them---even if I don't get any monitary relief, Amazon will KNOW that this product is DEFECTIVE!

This unit works very well and is kind of unique in features as of this writing, It will go on from across a large room by remote, kind of cool. The main problem is that it continually drains the batteries for some reason, even when the light is off. I would recommend removing the batteries except when you need to use it. Not the most convenient, but it is what I have been doing. It used up 3 batteries after I hadn't turned it on even once for a couple of months, even though they were basically brand new when installed. The other minor issue I had was the beam was not narrow enough to just light my frame, so I covered part of the lens with duct tape, not noticeable since the fixture is silver. Rite lite was the right Picture Light that I was looking for. I'm quite pleased with the results after hanging it.
