This is the 4th and largest LED flood light I've ordered on Amazon over the past month. I have gotten a 20W unit from this same vendor, as well as 10W and 30W versions from others here on Amazon.

This product is not yet UL rated, so I am still hesitant to install it as a full-time light that runs unattended, but it now resides in my garage workshop where I'm always present while the light is running.

One of the biggest improvements of this generation over the earlier units is that it has about a 1 second startup delay which lets you fully plug the cord in before it pulls max power, which eliminates the plug arcing that I have observed on other units which fire up instantly.

The mechanical packaging of the unit is not the most efficient, nor is the quality and apparent efficiency of the stamped stainless steel (around #2 brushed finish, much like a stainless finish refrigerator) light reflector.

While this means that it's needlessly bulky and doesn't use its light to the fullest capability, it is still the brightest, coolest running task light I've ever seen. It draws approx. 55W on 120VAC according to my cheap kill-a-watt power meter, which sounds about right for 50W light plus 5W of waste heat (insane efficiency relative to incandescent bulbs or quartz flood lights)

Also, the light still comes with a bare cord without a plug. A reasonable length cord with 3 prong plug or an IEC-style (removable PC or appliance power cord) would be a huge improvement for the end users who aren't comfortable doing their own wiring.

One nice side effect of the wasted space inside of the housing is that there is plenty of room to add a toggle switch or pull chain so you can turn the thing on and off without having to unplug it.

Overall, this is the best LED flood light I have purchased to date. It has the best performance and best dollar per watt ratio. It's the best bang for the buck that I'm aware of at the moment and I plan to purchase additional units when I have the funds to burn.
