Researched this purchase for a very long time before buying it. All reviews said that Hunter fans were very quiet so I took a chance and they were correct !! It's perfect for our bedroom. This particular model covered a large existing opening for a very old ceiling light. We love the fan, have no complaints at all.

We purchsed this ceiling fan because we needed a hugger to cover the existing area from another fan. First off, it's an ignorant design and a pain to install. The blades have to be removed to do any kind of work on it. The light kit quit working properly in less than 6 months. We had to screw the bulbs in/out anytime we wanted to use the light. We called Menard's and they told us to call Hunter and they would replace the light kit for free. Hunter told us they didn't have any recalls on this particular fan and we would have to pay for a new light kit (plus S/H). We called Menard's and they exchanged it for us without any problems. Brought the new one home and found the blades chipped and the locking screws missing. Went back to Menard's (we live an hour away) and they gave us new blades and the screws from another box. My husband installed the fan only to find the mounting bracket was welded crooked and it hangs off center. He's found a way to make it hang as straight as possible. If it wasn't the only hugger fan we could find, the damn thing would be packed up and taken back. Would NOT recommend this product, but would absolutely recommend shopping at Menard's.
