Works great and it is bright. Neutral color was hard to find. The price was right and comparable with other sellers.Best Deals for Brightest LED Felxible Strip with 300 X 5050 LED in 16 Feet 5 Meter
I bought one16.4 strip in September 2011. So far they have worked really well for backlighting a piece of onyx artwork on my wall. I bought an led dimmer switch so I can dim the lights at night. At full strength the lights are fully visible during the day. I used a 100w transformer. I'm buying another 16.4 string today for something else in my house.Honest reviews on Brightest LED Felxible Strip with 300 X 5050 LED in 16 Feet 5 Meter
Along with this product, I also bought the Ledwholesalers quick connectors. I watched countless vidoes on how to use the connectors. And I read up more on this product. Here are my beefs:1. The strip is supposed to have clearly marked places to cut it. I even saw pictures where the silhouette of scissors was on the strip itself. On the strip I got: no scissor markings. I had to guess where the cut line should be. Who knows if I got it right.
2. Assuming I did get it right (there was a vertical line through a relatively uniform area of the strip every two inches), there were not the two solder points as all the videos and pictures showed. It looked like there were some metallic wires which MAY have been connection points for the power. When I tried to use the connectors, they would not close over this area, and the two prongs on the connectors rested on top of the plastic coating of the strip. I took a knife and tried to scrape away the plastic coating. It looked horrible, and I guess it worked. The strip eventually lit but this one looks fainter (like it is not getting as much power) as the piece of strip that had the factory installed wire end on it.
I spent HOURS of research and futile effort trying to figure out why my strip was different from the videos and pictures, and trying to think how I could adjust it to work with all of the connectors I had ordered.
This was definitely not a case of products matching up (the strip and the connectors). And their pictures and videos were no help as my strip was not the same.
I was amazed at the inexpensive price of this strip, but I guess you get what you pay from. I am thinking now I should have ordered a more expensive LED tape strip; at least maybe it would have come with directions or videos/pictures that matched.
Did I mention there were no directions in the package?
