This package works as advertised, but eats batteries at an incredible rate. We don't leave them on that long, and within 2 weeks they are dead and we have to replace them. At 20 AAA batteries which are not that cheap, these become a $40 a month luxury we can't afford. Safe your $, skip the battery units! I suspect Duracell loves this product of course, but we don't!

I've purchased three sets of these lights at Costco and returned all three. Initially, they work great, and I only used them very occasionally when I had guests over to the house. After a month of very little use, I turned on the lights under the shelves in my antique desk, and they all went on, then dimmed. At first I thought it was the remote control, so I returned the set. I installed the second set, same experience, so I returned them as well. It turns out that the battery life, whether you use them regularly, or on an occasional basis is the same: 30 days maximum. I cannot figure out why the battery life is so short even though they are not being used. This makes no sense to me.Best Deals for Lightmates LED Wireless Puck Lights with Remote & Batteries - 6 Pack
I don't regularly write reviews, but this is a great product. I bought them to provide undermount lighting in a pantry and in some dark areas of our walk-in closet. It took less than 7 minutes from opening the box to finished. They throw off a good amount of light, and the remote has a dimmer function which allows for a lower light level if desired. The remote also has a timer function, which i can see being very handy. I am going to swap out some flourescent fixtures in another closet for these. The packaging was easy to open with your hands ( no samurai box cutting required) and the instructions are easy enough for a second grader.
I would not install these anywhere where looks are important, but that said, they look good and their low profile makes them invisible in most undermount locations. Compared to wiring something, this is an amazingly elegant time and cost effective alternative/ improvement.
Not sure about the price here. I paid less than $30 a set at my local warehouse club.
Honest reviews on Lightmates LED Wireless Puck Lights with Remote & Batteries - 6 Pack
I got these from my local Costco (for quite a bit cheaper than they're listed here) to put in my tack locker at the barn. I was tired of having to put on a headlamp just to find things in there. Someone else I know got this set and put them up in her horse trailer and had nothing but good things to say about them. I figured between these 6 lights it should light my locker up enough. But, I only needed two of them in the end! There were two things I wasn't sure of before I bought theseif the units could be mounted with screws (since adhesive doesn't necessarily hold up well when applied to wood that is exposed to cold, damp conditions) and if the lights would function without the remote (in case I didn't use all of them in my locker). The answer is yes to both of thesethe backplate of the light comes off to change the batteries and remains attached to the wall; it has two screw holes already in place if you should decide to mount that way instead of using the included adhesive. And for what it's worth, the adhesive disc is holding up just fine so far. Without the remote, you can turn these lights on and off by tapping like a normal tap light. There doesn't seem to be a dim or 30-minute timer option without the remote, however.
I would have used the remaining lights for under cabinet lighting if I could get another remote outside of the set, but I didn't have any luck finding it sold separately, so I just put one where I want it most often and tap it on and off as needed and have a few extras floating around.
I left one of the lights on to see how long the batteries would last, and it was noticeably dimmer after 24 hours. For those who need lights frequently, you might be better off getting a wired solution (assuming you have a source of electricity).
And as someone else mentioned, the remote control looks different from the picture. Instead of looking like a standard light switch, it has four buttons: on, dim, 30-minute timer, and off.

This was my original review; This is an amazing buy. We are currently renting a condo, and we love it. The only issue we have, is that the kitchen is slightly dark. I was watching HGTV one day, and noticed the difference under cabinet lights made. Unfortunately, we weren't willing to do all that construction, especially since the place isn't ours. I looked around for weeks for a solution. I finally stumbled upon this. It was about $40 (I paid for expedited shipping) and came with 6 pucks, BATTERIES, and a remote (that turns it on, off, dims the lights, and, my favorite, has a 30 minute timer). I thought it was a steal, and possibly too good to be true, that is, until I used it. From the time I opened the package, it took about 10 minutes (I read the whole information packet, and I am very anal about doing everything a particular way) to assemble. The directions are super simple. The light is BRIGHT. I like it on the dim setting, but if you need more light, then go for it! A great product! I highly recommend!
After 1 week of using it, I had to replace ALL the batteries. Whats worse, is that they have to constantly be replaced EACH WEEK. I don't even use it that much! Uggh.
