This is a great little headlamp. It's not super-bright; I wouldn't use it for spelunking or night-bicycling, but it's perfect for reading or for keeping in purse or glove box for emergencies.

A few years back I purchased nine different AAA-powered LED headlamps, and this one has stood the test of time and become my favorite. I just bought several more--one for each vehicle, plus some spares since this model has become hard to find.

The most important thing about an LED headlamp is the power switch. The fancier models with different brightness levels and flashing modes are neat, but they slowly drain the battery even when turned "off". (By the way, if you have a headlamp with that kind of electronic switch, you can prevent the battery drain by removing then reinstalling the batteries after using the light.) I much prefer the simple on/off switch of this model. That way when I need it it'll still work after sitting in the glove box for months or years.

Caveat: the included batteries were leaking in five of the six of these that I just received from an Amazon seller. Not only did I have to supply my own batteries, I also had to clean the residue off my new headlamps. It was dry and easy to brush off. I would still order again because these headlamps are a good value.

It's a decent and simple to operate light very suitable in situations where you need to work with both hands and still want a light (probably like fixing wires to your speaker in some dark corner). Overall quality is fair and the product is light weight so it doesn't keep sliding down your face. I love the simple no nonsense mechanical switch. However, when I got the package, the batteries had leaked and I ended up with dirty hands. Don't expect too much power. It's just about enough to take on a walk to light up your path etc.

I've had 3 of these for several years now and I'm quite satisfied with them. The weight is good no tendency to slide down your forehead. They use 3 AAA batteries get the Eneloop rechargeable batteries and move on. The white light brightness is rated at 20 lumens plenty for my purposes. Some may want a light with multiple brightness settings. A single setting with a real switch keeps things simple left for white right for red. The red is dim enough to preserve your night vision. These lights have none of the silliness where you have to press a single button multiple times to cycle to the off setting nice.

I have to say I'm surprised they still make the same model after all these years. Most products like this seem to go through a single production run and then something else hits the market.

The only con is that the swivel is somewhat loose and sometimes doesn't stay put. A potential problem is that the battery cover clasp seems weak, but I haven't broken one yet.

Simple. Inexpensive. Functional. No issues with three after several years of regular use.

Actually enjoyed the use of this headlight to give a hands-free light to work on audio-video connections in the back of my stereo cabinet. However, the flimsy battery terminal/posts broke off within the unit after using it just occasionally. A more durable design would have made this a good product to have around.
