I bought 4 of these for our bonus room, which we made our movie room. They were easy to hang up, no wires (which was great, my husband did not want to rewire a whole wall) and they look a lot more expensive than what they are. I am very pleased with this purchase. 3 settings, it's not enough light to read by, but enough light to give a nice feel to the room.

I read other people reviews, as always some loved it and some hated it. Depends on how you want to use this. I bought four to utilize in my home's "dark spot areas" in case of a power outage; like the hallway and by exit doors. With the 3-way lite ability, this is just perfect. No, you may not be able to read a book by the amount of light it puts out, but they put out plenty of light in case we need it in emergency or just to set a low cast mood in any room. Also, very elegant looking, especially for the price. Easy to hang, just like a picture. My husband and I were so pleased with them, that we quickly ordered another five to place throughout the rest of our home so that they would all match.

I ordered this for a small closet/play area for my daughter. It puts off plenty of light, and is a very white light, not warm and yellow like the photo. However, I read people that said their has 3 light settings -mine only has on/off. Also, people say it takes C or D batteries; mine takes 6 AA batteries. The hanging is easy, you just need 1 nail -I was kind of hoping to hang mine upside down (to look more like a traditional lampshade, vs a sconce since it's going in my daughter's play "house"). That won't be easy due to the design that requires the shade to hang on the LED casing. I may have figured a work around for this. Overall, it's a perfect solution for an area with no electric. Much more light than a flameless candle, plus the shade helps diffuse and project the light nicely in the space. A good value.

No you cannot read by it but it looks great and lights up the area. Will be good this winter when the power goes out. Much prettier than a lantern!
