Nice flashlight with a bad switch.... Oh well. Believe it or not, it did work the first week I had it.
I noticed right away the rubber on/off switch at the opposite end was very tempramental. After multiple clicks
It would come on but then after about one week it died. I tried new batteries but realized it was a bad switch.
Right now it is just sitting on the counter. I was too busy to get the time to send it back. Maybe others would be more proactive. I have two other TrustFire flashlights of a smaller scale and they work great. What a bummer on this supersized one. Was this a lemon or is this particular flashlight of poor design. I am only one buyer so you will have to make that call. This is a 3 battery flashlight my other two are a double and a single and they work great. Additionally. This flashlight is a bit of a lug. I would recommend the smaller size for portability and ease of handling.
Hope this helps you

Flashlight looks great and has an incredible brightness. But that's only when you can get it to turn on and stay on. The one I ordered had a bad switch so I had to return it and order a new flashlight.

The trustfire arrived in a timely maner, the packaging was not that great, the light was not secured in the box,no directions and this light does not produce 8000 lumens. I must say that this light is constructed very well.I have had this light for several months and most of the time it don't work.

No, I haven't bought one of these flashlights, but based upon my experiences with other flashlights similar in build to these, I can say that there are two possible sources of trouble with this type of flashlight. I'd be inclined to say that the most likely source of trouble is the switch assembly in the tail cap. It is held in place with a ring that screws into place in the tail cap, but is sometimes not tightened down properly. I had just that problem, and before I discovered the true source of trouble, was about to take a hammer to the flashlight out of frustration. After tightening the ring down so that the switch was properly grounded to the body of the flashlight, the light worked/s perfectly. The other source of problems seems to have a lot to do with the batteries that one might choose to use. 18650 batteries just don't seem able to put up with the current demands of a higher power flashlight, as they will on a flashlight such as the 1000 lumen Trustfires, ad Ultrafires. Using the more expensive, but far more powerful 26650 batteries should take care of the current needs of the hungrier flashlights. My star rating is only there to make it so that my possible trouble solution will be made available.
