This is a review for: Etekcity® 3 Packs Wireless Remote Controlled Electrical Switch Socket Outlet with TWO Remote (BATTERY INCLUDED) Designed for Appliances, Lamps, Air Conditioners, or any Electrical Equipment

I purchased the Etekcity 3 Pack Wireless Remote Controlled Electrical Switch Socket Outlet with TWO Remotes recently. It's a great product and has made operating the lights in our bedroom much easier. However, after two weeks of use, one of the remotes has stopped working. The LED on the remote still lights up, but the buttons fail to operate anything. At first, the buttons failed but if I tried pressing several times, very hard, the button worked. However, now the remote has completely failed. The second remote is still working, but I suspect it is only a matter of time before this remote also fails, since it was previously being used much less than the primary remote which failed.

UPDATE 10/15/13: After contacting Etekcity, they recommended I return the product to Amazon and purchase one of the models marked NEW on Amazon (an updated version). So far, two weeks in with no problems. The package did come with two remotes: one had three buttons, one had five buttons. The picture shows that both remotes should have three buttons. It's not a problem because the remotes on the new version are programmable and interchangeable (they are NOT on the old version of the device), but still a little odd that it came that way.

These things are very handy,they are a little big so if you plug in anything else you might have to buy a strip

It is very hard to get the batteries in. I could hardly do it. Unfortunately they did not serve our purpose we bought them to use on tvs but the tvs won't turn back on once the power has been cut and restored unless you use the remote or button on the tv.
