I bought this light to mount as a dome light for my fiberglass truck cover. As you can see it only has 12 LED's although it says 18 in the description. Still it is pretty bright. If you can use the magnetic mount then you will be good. I had to use the screws to mount to fiberglass. Now, when I need to change the batteries, I have to remove it to get at the bottom where the batteries go. Definitely not the best design but it should do the job. When you see it in person you see that it is cheaply made and not worth the price. Should be only $12.00 to $15.00 I am keeping it even though it is somewhat inconvenient to change the batteries.

I bought a Chevy Express Van and plan on using it to sleep in the back when I'm on the road. The built in cabin light doesn't have a switch, so instead of messing with it I bought this. It has a magnetic back and sticks to the top of the van firmly. The light is pretty bright and it will be bright enough for what I need it for. I haven't tested the battery life yet, but I don't plan on using it too often. I will keep an extra set of batteries in my van.

Dome light was used to illuminate the inside of a Boy Scout enclosed travel trailer. Did the job nicely. The magnets were strong enough to hold it firmly in place. Gave off plenty of light. Would not recommend mounting it with screws as you have to take it down to change batteries.

My son is using this on his 1989 Ford Bronco, both as an underhood light for his mechanical work and as an interior cab light. The LED Dome Lamp's magnets are powerful enough to easily stick on any metal surface. Highly recommended.
