I have purchased ordered this lights first time to see how I like them. I was mainly concerned with the color I wanted a truly warm, yellowish light. Since they were quite nice(apart from the horrible plastic smell) I decided to order another set. I am using them on the outside tree, so the smell did not bother me too much. When the second set came, it turned out that the lights have a different color (more into pink hue, and a bit 'colder" white). It wouldn't be too bad if they were not displayed side by side.

I bought 7 of these for an upcoming reception but you can't string these together. They only have a plug at one end. So they have to go back.

Also the box control for the light setting is big and bulky with unclear readings as to what setting you are putting it on. Just one button that you press up to 8 times to get it to a certain setting.

There are multiple problematic issues with this product: 1) From reading other reviews, it's clear that not everyone is sent the same type/brand of lights. One reviewer received a 'box' of lights labeled 'cool white', whereas I received lights sealed in a plastic bag labeled 'Happy Diwali,' with no information about the product provided. 2) Some reviewers received lights with a warm white light output, but the vast majority including myself received lights with a cool white light output. 3) The cool white light output is also too bright and very harsh on the eye, making the lights unsuitable for indoor decorative applications. 4) The controller/programmer box is located just a few inches from the first light on the strand, making it impossible to hide the box a few feet away like you can with most other types of light strands that are thoughtfully crafted to include a preliminary section of unlighted 'lead wire'. 5) The small prongs on the plug will not hold the plug securely in a standard American wall outlet. It constantly slips out, which results in the lights turning off. Then when you plug it back in, you will find that the controller/programmer has been reset, forcing you to click back through the 8 different settings until you land on the one you had chosen. You could solve this problem by taping the plug to the face plate around the wall outlet, but then your lights would be kept on continuously. All in all, a very annoying product...and not one I would purchase again or recommend to others.

The points of light are so tiny and bright, but with a warm glow. I made a lamp out of it. I wrapped the string of lights around a 5-foot long piece of driftwood and hung it over my dining table. It looks fantastic.

I wish I could attach a picture for my review, because this device failed on me in a way that no electronics should. The solder points for the AC input on the device had no glue or anything to keep the wires from breaking off, allowing them to break free and short out the connection. It left a bad smell, and burn marks on the device where the power comes in. I feel this is both unsafe, and very poor craftsmanship on the part of this company. I did like the lights, and have another set just like them that I am now afraid to use. Hopefully the other strand has some sort of adhesive inside it to keep this from happening.
