This light is nothing short of awesome. Lasts a very long time on a single charge. It is incredibly bright. It reaches out there nearly as far as my dedicated spot light which will burn out on a single charge in less than 20 minutes which is several times less than the Hitachi(it takes several hours to recharge my spotlight and only 15 minutes to recharge the battery for the Hitachi!) The swivel head is greatI set it on the ground and tilt the head up to work on my atv in dark. I set it on a bumper and tilt the head down to hook up the trailer...
I used it throughout 2 weeks before recharging it for the second timeit was still going, I just don't like discharging my batteries too far.
It ways only a few ounces, so the only weight you'll be carrying is basically the weight of your battery.
I would pay 3x more if I had to replace it.

This spotlight came with my drill/battery combo kit. It lasts a long time on a single charge, is decently bright. But it is only only incandescent flashlight I used to own. If Hitachi would come out with a 18V 5-10W LED flashlight I would buy it right away.I still have this one, but have replaced the bulb with a 12V Voltage regulator and a 12V 10W LED floodlight off ebay. Now it is at least 5X brighter and lasts even longer on a charge.

were the light pivots is a little lose and wobbley makes it feel cheaply made. should have been tighten or shimed so it does not shake. the light itself is very bright and works with my drills batteries over all so far i like this product.Honest reviews on Hitachi UB18D 14.4 - 18 Volt Cordless Flash Light
I bought this flashlight as a replacement for the one that came with my Hitachi electric drill/driver set shortly after the original had become inoperable from when I dropped it onto the pavement.Due to the circumstances, I can't say that this flashlight is durable it hit sharply from a three foot fall but this is certainly one of my favorite flashlights as far as roadside utility goes. The battery, sold separately, provides significant weight as a foundation for the vertically adjustable beam. I love to use it during late night tire changes.
The color is different from my kit flashlight, and I prefer the look of this new one.
I removed the black shoulder strap, or whatever it is, since that is the reason my first one got caught up on a tire iron and pulled out of the box to fall to the ground in the first place. Unless you are oftentimes carrying this flashlight over your shoulder, I highly recommend that others do the same.
This is the perfect light for anyone who could use a vertically adjustable flashlight head that easily stands upright on a flat surface. I like it enough to have ordered this replacement.
