Amazon sells a bunch of similar flashlights with Cree XM-L T6 LEDs, but I recommend this one for several reasons. I ordered a different flashlight before this one and then realized that it was shipping from China and it took a month to arrive. While I waited I read more about the flashlight and learned that this type of flashlight uses a 3.7V 18650 battery, which I had never heard of. The first flashlight I ordered (and most other flashlights available) did not include a battery. This one actually ships with a battery, so you can play with it right away!
This flashlight is brighter than most others in its class. It has 1600 lumens, which is pretty bright for such a small light. It also has a nice focus ring, which lets you make the beam more focused or more spread out. For such a low price, everyone should have at least one of these, even if you do not have an immediate need for it. Just stick it in a drawer and know that next time the power goes out or you lose something behind the couch or you have to walk through the woods at night, you'll have this ready to go. I also bought two rechargeable batteries and a charger, since I have no idea where to buy these funky batteries. That reminds me, this flashlight also comes with a special adaptor that lets you put three AAA batteries in it instead of the 18650 battery. I haven't tried it, so I do not know if it works as well as the normal battery or how long it last.
