An excellent idea. An excellent product for placing CFL bulbs in fixtures without the clearance for the short/fat CFL bulbs. BUT... Use them with CARE. The plastic part is marginal. Over tighten them and plastic could break. :( Use care when installing these extensions and they will provide trouble free service.

Note to manufacturer... Change the formulation of the plastic to be tougher, more resilient, thus less brittle.

This product is great for stubborn lamps. My lamp has metal pieces to close to the bulb socket so not all bulbs fit, but with these adapters it's like a new lamp

This adapter is exactly what I needed for my photo lamps. Length was perfect, diameter was perfect, threads were perfect.

I returned it because it was only rated for 75 Watt loads.

My photo-floods are 250 and 500 respectively and would destroy these adapters in short order.

For LED lighting that won't quite screw all the way in your existing socket, these would do fine, but high power incandescent or fluorescent would generate too much heat for the plastic housing.

Please note that this review is strictly for the product. The vendor delivered promptly and readily accepted my RMA and refunded my item cost. I, unfortunately had to pay shipping both ways.
