Our front lamp post light has not worked since we bought the house over 18 years ago. Something was wrong with the wiring. I have been looking for a solar light that would give a decent amount of light. It is not as strong as a wired light, but gives off enough for what we are using it for. Installation was a little tricky because our lamp post was actually 4 inches in diameter, but with an aluminum adapter we were able to get it secure. I am very happy with it so far. We have had it for 2 months. After having my lamp go out because of the idiot who installed it we decided to go solar. It did save us money because we didn't have to dig up the ground to find the problem. The light does work and stays on all night. I like the look of it and it has a bluish light to it. I dread having to remove the snow in the winter but oh well. It did arrive with a small crack in the paint and I decided just to cover it with super glue instead of returning it.
