The brushed nickel finish looks nicer than a regular hall light, even though it is plastic. What I like best about this night light is that all the little cutouts allow light to shine through and they're on the front and back of the product. This allows the light to be very illuminating without hurting my eyes at night. I will update this when/if the LED light burns out because that's my only concern. The light sensing mechanism is sensitive. When I close my blinds, my room is quite dark and the light comes on (for instance, when I'm not home). That's wasted energy if I forget to unplug it and I don't want this to burn out because it looks so nice. Let me know if you have questions and I'll try to answer.

Pros:Cute design.
Light sensor works great
Soft, homey lightnot the obnoxious LED or blue bulbs.
Despite being made of plastic, this light visually seems to made of steal and glass!
Just enough light without being obtrusive to sleep, etc.
Affordable price for a good-looking, reliable product
Cons:
Will cover other outlet opening on some double outlets (though, I guess if you want to hide the other one, or have kids, this may actually be a pro)
Made of plastic (but again this may be a plus for some with kids or rowdy animals)
