After reading several reviews on this product I decided to purchase this product. The Delivery was fast through Amoxon Prime! 2nd day Delivery!! Which is always a plus!! I put this light over my pool table in my Gameroom. Now because the pool table had already been installed working around it seemed a bit tough. I would say if you have basic knowledge in electricity it's an easy install! If not then an electrician is recommended. In my case I had electrician install the fixture which took 30 min tips!!! The only issue we had was the side where you run the cable through the chains up to the ceiling. We noticed it was noticeably off level!! After troubleshooting I went to my local Home Depot and grabbed some weighted washers that fit perfectly inside the opening of the light pole fixture.

As far as lighting!! I'm satisfied it lights up the whole room 20X16 I would recommend this product!! By the way the only reason I rated it 3 stars was based on the fact that I had to level out the light using materials outside of what was purchased!! Other than that a good purchase.

Looks great once up . Had assembly fit issues with one of the end caps.

End cap wouldn't fit on properly. Needed to help the edge of the main body end to fit the cap on.

A little touch up paint and all is well.

So quality 4 stars looks and final product 5 stars

I bought this to use with my new 8' pool table. I've received more comments on this light than the pool table itself, which cost many thousands of dollars! When I see similar looking lights as lighting stores, they cost at least twice as much. Here are my thoughts after several months of use.

PROS

Gorgeous light fixture; the oiled rubbed bronze is classic and elegant and the glass shades provide a beautiful amber glow

Although it looks heavy, it's actually very light; perfect if you already have the table in place since it can be held up by one person easily

Very durable; the first electrician I used actually goofed and the entire fixture fell on the table 2 days later luckily there was no damage to the table or the light fixture (hired a new electrician and replaced the bulbs)

More than ample light -three 100w bulbs is very bright so I have a dimmer on the switch

Easy to adjust height by adding or removing links; the bottom of my light is exactly 32" from the table, perfect to cast light on the entire table while minimizing shadows on the balls

Incredible value at about $300

CONS

Takes a little bit of patience to get the glass shades to align

The glass shades, though durable, cannot be wiped hard or scrubbed since the "cracked" coating comes off easily (when my light fell, a chain link scuffed one of the shades so I learned the hard way)

OVERALL

I love this light fixture! If I didn't already have medallion lights in my kitchen, I would consider buying another one to put above the island. In the meantime, I'm going to soak up all the compliments this is bringing me when people see this hanging above my pool table.

These are nice lights for the price, they are a dull light, don't expect a large blast of light from the lanterns, but they are nice for the money.

I searched the Brinkmann site and these were listed under "solar lights metal". Brinkmann site says steel finish with an aluminum hook. I know the info here also says stainless finish, so was not sure what I would get.

What I received seems to be all plastic, though durable. The finish is a light, but dull, silver. On my computer the silver looked much darker than what I received. I was also hoping for a cool colored glow, but these give off the warm yellow. I was hoping to use them outside the back door and be able to use the lantern to walk about when it is dark. They have been delegated to a different area of my garden as they do not fit that need.

For the price I can't complain too much though, and will keep them,

PS:I always use strong ni-mh batteries and get great strong lighting results, so can't comment on how the lighting would be with the usual ni-cd "solar" batteries.

Okay, first you have to know what you are buying. If you are looking for lights that replace common light bulbs, this will not be for you. If you are looking for path lights that are actually bright for path lights, these will please you. The other reviews are not really fair to the product. It's like saying my scooter can't tow my boat and then giving the scooter a rating of 1 star.

These are solar lights for less than $2 a piece. You couldn't buy the solar cell, battery and LED's for that, let alone put together. That is a amazing.

The kit comes with everything you need. They even come with 16 holders so you can double their height if you wish. I might suggest that the first time you use them, throw the batteries into a nicad charger. That way you can really see how well they work and give them a fair review on how well they charge over an entire day of sunlight.

I'm glad I bought these.

This is an updated review. When I first received these lights I was very satisfied. Only about 3 out of 64 were broken on delivery and the rest worked great so for the price they were a bargain. Then after the first month issues started. I noticed in the rain about half filled with water. Upon inspection I noticed there were supposed to be drain holes and in about half the lights they had not been drilled out, so I did that myself. It only took about an hour. Next I noticed several lights stopped lighting at all. So I brought them in and charged the batteries and they lit up fine. However many of them never turned off. Not sure what happened but for some reason the light sensor appeared to go bad so they always though it was dark...well with solar powered batteries that's an issue because they won't stay charged long when running constantly. Now here it is October, I bought them in early June and only 17 out of the 64 I bought are still working, so they don't look like such a good deal any more. I am still not sure what the bad reviews mean when they say they are not bright, or don't stay lit very long. In my experience they either worked great, or not at all. When I initially got them, I charged all the batteries in a charger before I noticed they have an on/off switch which had I known I would have let them charge outside for a couple days instead.(I bought 8 sets of 8 lights so took a while to charge all 64 batteries). The on/off switch was well described in the instructions, which being a man, I did not read. After charging them in my cheapo NiCad charger I then reinstalled the batteries, turned the switches to "on" and placed them outside, they ran all night. As to brightness...for Pete's sake! They're accent lights, designed to enhance the appeal of landscaping or provide decorative lighting for a walkway. If you want security lights or lights that light up the area for parties do not get these(of course if you have half a brain and read the description you should already know that) They are sturdy and have not moved after 4 days of rain with some storms giving wind gusts to 50 mph.

I read the reviews and did become a bit leary about the negative comments, but went ahead and purchased them. They arrived safe and sound and in a timely manner. I did as someone suggested turn them on, set them up and give them a day to absorb the sun-light. Since then my sidewalk has been quite illuminated EVERY night.

These lights are not too bright, but work very well. You just have to remember to turn the on switch on, when you buy these. I have read some reviews saying that some of these don;t. So far these work fine, just look for the flip switch under the base of the lamp. Good deal, no regrets

I suppose I should have realized that for $20 I wasn't getting great lights, but this was worse than that. They are made from very light plastic, have no substance, and 3 of the 8 had the bulbs mangled in packaging and do not work. It's not worth it to me to bother returning them, but maybe I can spare you a mistake!

Discount LED replacements for Malibu Landscape light 6 LED SMD SMT 194 T10

I've had these LED bulbs running in my backyard Malibu fixtures for two years. Much to my surprise (because of the exposed circuit board), they've been fairly reliable...out of 18 bulbs, only one has failed while being used. The DOA rate was higher, with two out of the original 20 being defective. Luckily, I'd ordered a couple of extras, assuming that they wouldn't last all that long when exposed to outside temperatures and humidity.

The power consumption of these bulbs is quite low...about 100ma at 12 volts. That's 1.2 watts. Translated into English, that means that you can string many more lamps on a single wire, as well as using a significantly smaller transformer. I replaced a 600 watt beast (Malibu/Intermatic 600watt Transformer with a couple of solar panels and some large batteries. The power savings has more than paid for itself.

The light output of these particular bulbs is roughly equivalent to 7to 10-watt bulbs; significantly less than the original 20-watt bulbs. In places where I needed more light, I used T10 LED 194 Wedge base, Dash Board or Dome Light Bulbs 12v Ac 15 SMD LED 1.44 Watt 105 Lumen Warm White, 1415WW. Those particular bulbs use a bent wire wrapped around the plastic base for the electrical connection and corrosion has caused a higher percentage to fail.

My recommendation...Don't go out and buy a whole slug of these without trying them first. Pick up a couple and see how you like them in your fixtures in your yard. They're certainly worth trying.

I love these LED replacement lights for my Malibu landscape lights.

Power:

I am feeding these LED lights with a 12v AC Malibu landscape power supply

LEDS are DC and these lights have their own rectifiers on the circuit to convert to DC to make them function

Brightness:

The brightness of these LED bulbs appear to be the equivalent to my 7 watt incandescent bulbs

Color:

The color of these LEDS is not the same as an incandescent bulb

Color is a bit whiter

I think the color actually makes the landscape lights look nicer, not white like a florescent light and not as yellow as incandescent. An excellent mix between. As a matter of fact after seeing the color of these from the sidewalk I quickly yanked out all of the regular bulbs as these were brighter and looked so much nicer.

Heat:

The LEDs do get a bit warm to the touch, almost too warm to tough

Nice thing about the heat being generated is the fact that this heat will help melt snow or ice from being on my fixture in the winter

Power Consumption:

The power consumption is very miniscule, by replacing all of my landscape bulbs with these LEDs I have virtually cut my power usage to 5 percent of the previous usage.

Overall, these LED lights look better, use less power, last longer, and still will melt the snow on them. The only negative is that yes they do cost more that a regular light bulb. No longer will I have to trudge through snow in the winter to replace a bulb in the middle of the snow covered yard. The convenience and the look outweigh the price in my mind. Too bad we don't have a descent replacement for a 100 watt incandescent porch light yet using LEDs. CFLs take way too long in the winter to brighten up and LED bulbs are awesome.

I ordered two of these thinking I was getting 6 in each pack... it was 1 in each pack with 6 LED's. Eight bucks for a malibu bulb is too much. The two I ordered worked great. It seems to be a good product. Try Amazon affiliate LED Wholesalers at 3.00 apiece.

Half a year later, they are working perfectly.

Ordered these bulbs and they were shipped quickly and all 10 worked perfectly. I'm in the process of replacing halogen bulbs with LEDs to cut back on energy usage so I was hoping that these would work out. The problem I have is that they're not the same warm color of a incandescent bulb. They have a white/blue/green tint to them and it's noticable.

Everything else about these bulbs is fine. Replacing the old bulbs took seconds and they worked without any problems. If you don't mind the white/blue/green color then go for these.

Installing some new Malibu LED sets in our yard, needed to get the old sets to match in color (the original incandescent bulbs were yellowish sort of color) output as LED's generally have a somewhat bluer color range. Not blue, but certainly not the old yellowish color of the old bulbs they have sold for years. Each one of these actually has 6 leds on it, and the light output is exactly what it should be in our opinion, which is lower than the original 11 watt bulbs they replaced that I always though were too bright anyway.

I might add, to protect the circuit boards in some of our older fixtures that had no weather shield, we placed electrical tape over the plug in area of the LED bulb, and then sprayed them with a clear enamel you can easily buy at any big box hardware store. Took a couple minutes to do 25 or so, another couple minutes for them to dry, and it must have worked, I left 3 in my pants which my wife put in the washer, and found them bouncing around in the dryer ... but, plugged them in, and they all still worked just fine... Amazing ... very durable, and apparently, very waterproofed ...

I installed 8 of these in my kitchen track lighting in December 2011. They look great and work wonderfully but only dim to 50% brightness and flicker when dimmed to that level. The color of the light was too white for my taste. The solution was to put a yellow plastic "gel filter" in front of each bulb. That made the color the same as normal bulbs. I bought a set of 16 inch square plastic "gels" from Amazon that are used for studio lighting and cut out circles to place in front of the light bulbs. The gels only cost another $10 and I could ad as many layers a I needed to get the desired amount of yellowness to the lighting. Over a year later and I'm still happy.

Replaced many of the lights in our house with EcoSmart Bulbs. They give a brighter light to an equivalent incandescent bulb. We have had no negative issues with all the EcoSmart bulbs we've installed throughout the house. The only down side has been the initial upfront cost.

This LED Night Light from GE has a soothing blue glow and gives off just enough light. Some might find the blue glow to be distracting(if they are not used to it).

The LED light lasts a long time and uses very little electricity. Light sensitivity is good as I have some night-lights that stay on even when the sunlight comes shining in the room.

The whole thing is cool to the touch and comes on/off when it is supposed to. The only bad thing about this nightlight is the size and awkward shape as it could potentially block other electric sockets or not fit it if the socket area is a bit clutered.

There are no bulbs to replace so you just use it until it no longer works. I got mine when it was under 5 bucks. I don't recommend paying anymore than 5 bucks for this.

I bought these because they were the right size outdoor candles to fit into a lantern on my porch. Unfortunately, the timer turns the candle off, but not on again. You have to turn the darn things on each time you want to use them. May not be a problem for most, but not what I thought I'd purchased. Update: My fault for not checking this out before writing review -candles DO come on automatically at same time every day. This makes them perfect for my use.

These candles look real. When you turn them on they stay on for 5 hours and then shut down for the next 19 hours and then turn themselve back on, repeating the process day after day. We place them in metal lanterns that give them some shelter from the rain; however, they still operate when they get a little wet.

If you're looking for a "Warm Yellow Glow" this probably isn't the light for you.

To me, the light looks clean, and crisp it has a pure white feel to it.

Regardless, I think it's a fantastic light much brighter than I expected.

I have five of them hooked up to a track lighting system in my front room, and they light the focal point really well.

As for the price --I bought two online for $40 ~ only to find them at Lowes for $30 --instead of being selfish, and reboxing them to send them back so I could save $20 (meanwhile hurting whoever I purchased it from), I accepted my failure to research, and just bought the three remaining lights at Lowes.

I recently ordered several different brands of MR16/GU10 LED bulbs trying to figure out which one is "best" for my office lighting. This Feit Electric LED bulb is the only one which does not fit in my fixture, so I was unable to try it out. Although the pins are the correct type, the bulb base is shorter than the other bulbs' bases so it will not QUITE reach the connector/contacts at the bottom of my fixture. It's very close but I can't quite twist it into place as is normally done. The Feit base is 1 inch long from tip of the connectors to where it widens out. The other MR16/GU10 LED bulbs I have are at least 1 and 1/4 inch long, and the base actually protrudes from the fixture (less than 1/4 inch). If your fixture has any kind of "tube" leading down to the contacts, I suggest you consider this factor. I don't believe my fixture is too unusual and as I say, other bulbs of this same size (including halogens) fit fine. (Amazon accepted my return of the bulb. Thanks!)

edit: In re-reading the many conflicting reviews of LED bulbs in the MR16/GU10 size base here at Amazon, it appears that some mfrs. use a shorter base, which some customers PREFER, complaining that the "long" base sticks out too far in their particular fixture. Others (like me) WANT the longer base. So look at the photos of the various bulbs carefully, you can usually see which ones are the "short" or "long" type of base. If there is a code or description that tells you the difference in these pages, I do not see it. It appears to me that the Feit and another one called "Lights of America" may be the "short" base while more generic brands generally have the longer base.

I bought one of these to replace a 50 watt halogen in my desk lamp. The halogen was still working but was too bright and really hot. This light claims to be equivalent to a 35 watt and from what I can tell it is. The best part, after being on for an extended time, I can touch the lamp without getting burned. The color of the light is very pleasant and not as unnatural as I feared. The true test will be to see if it lasts as long as the package claims. The manufacturer offers a 2 year warranty and has a toll free phone number on package save your receipt. Like other reviewers, I paid $25.00 at Lowes.

This is a good little bulb. The light is slightly cooler than a halogen, but not like the blue "daylight" bulbs. I tested 3 LED bulbs and this was the best. Two negatives. The packaging. Small gripe, I know, and it doesn't affect the quality of the bulb, but it is encased upon arrival in a ridiculous double plastic package ten times the size of the actual bulb. I assume this is to justify the second problem. The outrageous price. Most people will need many of these. I need 20 bulbs to replace all the halogen track lighting in my house. That's over $500! (not to mention a mountain of plastic). So much for any savings I may have seen on my electric bill. 4 stars for quality of light. 2 stars for being a "green" product with massive waste and unreasonable price.

I have purchased 4 of these bulbs to replace the halogen bulbs that came with our(newly installed) kitchen track light. Fortunately the track light wasn't too much money! Anyhow these bulbs are just a shade less bright than the ones that came with the track light and the spectrum is more white. They operate just as quick and way cooler than the halogen. The fact that they use alot less energy means less risk of your track light exceeding your electrical circuit's capability. They have a long life expectancy (30000hours). Hopefully like most tech stuff the price will come down!!I paid 24.99 at Lowes. I can't take with me when I go anyhow right?!

I ordered this for my husband as a stocking stuffer. I didn't expect a lot because of the low price but it did cost me almost double that price in shipping costs. We were very disappointed when it didn't work at all. First, the package states batteries are included...there were none. No problem...we placed new working batteries in it and still it would not work. We then re-tested the batteries, put them back in the unit and still it would not work. I e-mailed the company on 12/26/06 and received an automated response that a technical support rep would respond as quickly as possible. It's now January 9th and I still have heard nothing.

I would like to hear something back so we can resolve the issue. Thank you.

Expensive as can be but they do work.... The first one lasted 3 years and went through approx 50 batteries so it was used, abused and dropped several times.... I like this light well enough that I bought a second one just like it... This bulb really puts out some light but the "123 batts." are short lived, so carry extras and use sparingly....
