I love flashlights, so when I saw it in my local store I just had to get it. I've had this flashlight for about 2 years now, but I paid 2x of what it costs now :(
Intensity of the beam is incredible (110 lumen), this is the brightest light I had so far.
Besides carrying it with me, I found a great use for it as a light for my commuter bike. I got a $2 generic rubber light holder on ebay which you can attach to handlebar and this flashlight fits nicely. My commute is short so I never had problems with 30min shutoff, and it lights my way just great be it in total darkness or twilight. Makes me feel safe.
There are "better" bike lights, but they require external batter pack and cost 10x more. Why bother, for my needs I go thru just 1 set of lithium batters a year, they seem to last long.
Lithium batteries are expensive (but you can use alkaline or rechargeable), true, but they are also very light and great for carrying on hikes/camping. I even took it with me on my Hawaii trip. I went into a totally dark lava tube, and there were some people there with headlights. When I turned my Energizer, it cut thru the darkness like a projector, someone event screamed "ok you win!", we all had a good laugh :)
Someone here mentioned about light flickering, I never had this issue. Output is steady, and you can regulate it's intensity by holding on/off button. Also it doesn't scratch easily. I carry it with me in my bag full of junk and didn't notice any damage so far.

I'm something of a flashlight enthusiast and while I have brighter and more-robust (and more expensive) police-oriented handheld flashlights, I appreciate the value of this one for a few reasons:
1) It's inexpensive enough that I can can keep several around the house, in the car, etc., and I can give them away as presents.
2) It uses a standard AA battery (although Energizer recommends a lithium AA battery for longer life, linked below), which is a vast benefit over speciality police lights that use CR123A lithium batteries. You can find alkaline AA batteries in most convenience and general stores, and lithium AA batteries have a shelf life of ten years or longer.
3) It's water-resistant (splash-resistant, not for submersion), so it's good for keeping in the car in case of a roadside emergency.
4) It includes a dimming feature, so you can use it for reading without running down the battery (or blinding yourself).
5) It automatically switches off after 30 minutes (after a warning blink) so that you're less likely to drain the battery if you accidentally leave it switched on.
6) The tailcap switch is recessed so that a) it's less likely to accidentally light and b) you can stand the light on its end to use it as an ad hoc lamp.
For a light that you'll keep in the car or elsewhere for emergencies, I recommend this single-AA light rather than the 2xAA version (linked below), both because this will last longer with a limited number of batteries and because if you have to change the battery quickly (especially in total darkness), changing a single battery is simpler.
Also, this smaller version is much easier to drop into a pocket if you're out of your car and you need both hands, and it's a bit easier (though not ideal) to hold in your mouth while you use your hands. (However, some people might find the 2xAA version easier to hold between their shoulder and tilted head.)

My search for a flashlight with high intensity (65 lumens) that will not turn on in my pocket is over. I have tried several other LED that had buttons and they turned on in my pocket. This is a tough rugged light. Lithium battery works extremely well. You can count on this light to be there when you need it.

This is my second Energizer flashlight of this series, third overall. The first of this series was the older 4AAA model whose output capped at 90 minutes runtime, and was too bulky, though short enough to pack into a backpack. I found this flashlight at a fraction of the price and decided to give it a shot as well.
The main advantages are obviously clear. For starters, this light is 110 lumens, which gives it 20 more lumens to increase the brightness, and throw. Additionally, it only requires two AA batteries. Lithium batteries by Energizer are still pretty expensive, so I'm using rechargeables, but it's easier to charge 4AA batteries and have two sets rather than 4AAA batteries and no spares when the light runs out eventually.
This light boasts 3 hours at 110 lumens with a throw of up to 85 meters, which is a fairly respectable number. On the low end, it can go up to 35 meters for 24 hours, which is also an excellent battery time (though the power is admittedly only "6%", which makes it incredibly weak)
Again, you have the back click-and-hold to cycle into your desired light intensity, which is nicer than having to click-cycle through a series of six locked settings, strobes, etc that're commonly found on other high-powered lights.
Durability is great, but of course the cosmetics will get scratched away in a matter of weeks, unless you keep it in a little cloth case. Waterproof up to one meter, so don't worry about rain or the puddles, not to mention the grip that's fairly solid (though if water gets underneath the rubber, I'm pretty sure you're going to want to try and remove it to let it dry properly)
All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of this flashlight. However, the price is too steep to make it a real contender, so make sure you've found a good deal before you take the plunge.

I bought this light after seeing how much more powerful it is than it's sister model that uses 4 AAAs. Honestly I've never even seen a flashlight that yields so much light from such a small package. It only weighs about 6 ounces and is about 7-8 inches long, with a nice sleek design. It packs much more than the ones that use many more batteries.
I have no idea how the solid waterproof construction pumps out so much light (110 lumens, which is more than any other similar flashlight I have found) from a single LED light. It's extremely durable too. There's no bulb to go out or break, and the LED is for life.
Although it's a little pricey, it was definitely worth it considering what its competitors are charging for so much less. As a matter of fact, I paid less for this Energizer than I did for the police flashlight I had bought a a few years ago that uses 4 D cells.
The only downside is that replacement lithium batteries cost more than normal ones, but Energizer is kind enough to provide a pair with the flashlight. It has a nice feature that lets you adjust the amount of light/power you're using to lengthen battery life, though even the lowest setting it still impressive. Another great feature is that you can focus the light diameter from very wide to a tight center. I've been using it pretty heavily for a few weeks and it seems to still have full power.
I would definitely recommend this flashlight, as in fact I intend on buying another one. It's the first flashlight I've ever had that doesn't burn out, and it really does keep going and going and going...
