These products are easy to install (5 minutes per lamp) and produce abundant soft warm light. I replaced every recessed light in my house (over a year ago) and couldn't be happier. Some are on dimmer switches and they work great. Highly recommended!

To those basing their ratings on the Amazon price: The price at big box retailers is different in different states. This is because some states offer instant rebates to promote energy conservation (and some states don't). Don't blast the product because somebody else sells it cheaper. It may be cheaper at your local Home Depot, but not at every Home Depot. Also, the price on Amazon is always changing. On LED products, the price is usually going down, but your low rating lives forever, so rate the product itself (not the price) and let others decide if it's worth whatever it's currently selling for on Amazon.

I purchased a house where the prior owner had an infatuation with 6-inch high hats. They are sort of ugly and I had intended to replace all of them when I found these lights. I bought them at a 30% discount at Home Depot as a new model has been introduced. A new high hat housing is $15 plus. Add in the cost of one of those new "dimmable CFL bulbs" bulbs that really don't dim at all, and you are well over $20 without consideration for the time consumption of replacing the high hats. The light produced by this product is brighter than the previously existing 75 watt bulbs. In my hallway I replaced five 75 watt bulbs with five of these 10.5 watt LED's and I have more light than ever. The product leaves a clean looking glass lens instead of the typical view up inside a high hat housing. Because it seals, it also eliminates the cold air that would occasionaly blow through the housing. The bottom line is that, once you accept the idea of spending this much money for a light bulb, you get your money's worth and then some. This doesn't even consider the reduced electrical usage. After this installation, I went back and bought ten more. Now I am considering buying another twelve and it will take care of all of my high hats. I have to admint, however, that even at a discounted $35 each, paying a thousand dollars for 27 light bulbs is hard to process.

Cree manufactures the CR6. There is another product sold under the brand name of Ecosmart which is powered by Cree. In other words, the lamp guts are the same, but the rest is not. The Ecosmart brand is manufactured for distribution and sale by Home Depot whereas, the Cree CR6 is available at numerous commercial outlets. I also believe the Cree CR6 carries a longer warranty than the Ecosmart, but am not positive.

The Amazon fulfillment vendor (E Plus Discount) substituted the Ecosmart with the Home Depot wording on the box. Nowhere in their description on Amazon does it mention that this is not the actual Cree CR6 product and every description states it is the Cree CR6. There are listings on Amazon that are clearly marked "Ecosmart powered by Cree." The Home Depot variety could have been bought by me for less than I paid for what I thought was the Cree.

I consider this deceptive by E Plus Discount; they are misrepresenting the product they are selling so that they can charge a higher price. I would avoid purchasing anything from this vendor

I've replaced several recessed cans in my home with these and they look great ... nice, warm, dimmable light and brighter than my old 45W incandescent cans. But $72 is a rip-off ... they are available at Home Depot for $49 (they are labeled "Eco-Smart" but the bulbs and instructions are labeled CR6 so they're definitely the same lamps). So instead of paying $72 for one, buy two for $98 and double your energy savings ... and as a bonus you will be encouraging your local Home Depot to stock more energy-efficient products. Seems like a win-win to me!

1/2/2012 Follow Up: Others are reporting that this lamp is now available from Home Depot at $24.99. This must vary per state, because at my local Home Depot it currently sells for $39.99.

I finally got fed up with the 9 high hats in my kitchen. These are all dimable and I decided to trash the incandelscent lights. I bought one of these CR6's and it was a snap to install to modify an all ready existing light. However, check to make sure it is a six inch can. I tried to do it with a five inch IC can in my bedroom and it was just too tight in terms of length, I could get it into the can but the total length was about a half inch short and I had to remove the inner can and trim of the IC light. But for a standard 6 inch can, it fit like a breeze. Just remove the trim, take the bracket holding the socket out and then screw the cr6 to the socket and pull out the 3 metal fins and push into place. And turn the light on. Dims to low levels as well as to full power. Was not sure that the light output would be good enough because I was replacing a 90 watt halogen and this is rated as equivalent to 65 watt incandescent. Ordered 3 more and then replaced all 4 lights on the same dimmer circuit. Worked like a charm with the lutron dimmer I already had installed from 6 years ago or so. When I used only these 4 lights, it provided excellent light and I liked the color of the light better than incandescent. Worked fully dimmed and provided a very low level of illumination. At the level of where it acted like a night light, not enough to do much in, but enough so you did not bump into things and could tell if there was something on the counters. So now I have ordered 5 more to replace the 5 remaining lights. However, here is the rub. I did not buy them from Amazon, but because I live in NJ, I was able to purchase them from another vendor who sells them for about the same price as Amazon, but because NJ provides for a subsidized price from the vendor for NJ residents, I paid about 35% of the retail price. Considering I reduced the total wattage from 810 watts (9 times 90 watt bulbs) to less than 95 watt (9 times 10.5 watts per CR6), it was an easy choice when the total cost including shipping was about $235. If I had to pay the full price of approxmately $600, I am not sure I would have done it now, but probably would have just switched to dimmable CFL or waited until prices with LED had come down. But for NJ residents, google and find the vendor's site for NJ residents and go for it. You get a price a terrific Cree CR6 LED downlight for a little more than a dimmable CFL bulb. However, be warn that the cost of the Cree LR6's are much higher than the CR6 and I am not sure why, but discounted they sell for almost three times as much as the CR6.

I absolutely LOVE having this in our room. Even without the remote control it's built off-delay and slow dim-to-on and dim-to-off make it one of the most elegant and well thought out dimmer switches out there. As for the features, I'm shocked to see that there's nothing useful on the product page, so I'll go into more detail than I usually would.

Install:

Just like any other light switch. Comes with its own "stylish," screw-less faceplate, but it fits into any regular rectangular switch plate. Has both Screw-terminals and push-in-terminals. The whole thing only took me 10 minutes from the time I switched off the mains.

Features:

Most obvious, there's a remote!

The manual says it works "up to 30 feet," and in my experience I'd agree. I've also been able to program both my Logitech Harmony Xbox 360 Remote and URC R5 Universal Pre-Programmed & Learning Remote to control the switch. Gone are the days of falling asleep because you're too tired or comfortable to get up and turn them off. And how cool is it that, when I press "watch a DVD" on my remote, the tv turns on and the lights dim all at once!!

Slow-fade Dimmer with led indicator:

Although there are 7 led's on the side of the one-touch button to indicate dimming level, you are NOT restricted to 7 levels of dimming. Dimming up or down happens gradually and smoothly, allowing you to stop at ANY level, not just set percentages. One led also stays (DIMLY) lit when the lights are out to help you find the switch. Which one depends on where the lights were when you last turned them off, cause that's where they'll go back to if you just press it once. A double tap turns them on all the way.

Favorite setting(s):

There's a Silver button on the remote which recalls a favorite, user-settable light level. One press recalls your favorite level, while pressing and holding sets your favorite to the current level. Pretty simple, though in practice I don't use it too much. Mostly useful for dimming the lights as part of a macro-command on my Logitech remote. There's also a sort of return-to-last-position I started to describe above. feature -When you turn the lights from the switch by pressing it once, they will return to the level they were at the last time you turned them off. This is useful for getting up in the middle of the night after having them dimmed before falling asleep. (If you want to turn the lights full-on from the switch, just double-tap it)

Fade-to-on / Fade-to-off:

One more reason to admire the polish and elegance of this switch. Every change to the light-level is faded, giving your eyes iris just under 2 critical seconds to adjust before getting blasted by the full intensity or plunged into darkness. It doesn't sound like a lot of time, and it isn't, but it really makes a difference. Also, if you hold the switch down, you activate the off-delay (from 10 to 60 seconds) which further stretches the fade effect, getting you your night-vision faster. This is excellent for what used to be the pitch-black dash to bed.

Delayed fade to off option:

This is brilliant. If the lights are on and you hold the lightswitch (or the remote's off button") for more than a few seconds, it starts a timer giving you 10-60 seconds (depending on how long you hold) while it slowly dims before turning off entirely. I often use this feature when returning to bed from the bathroom (so I don't have to fiddle with the remote) or just when going to bed in general.

And supposedly it doesn't interfere with TV or radio signals in the house. I've never had a problem with it so, I guess it's doing its job? lol

Anyway, like I said, it's a fantastic, well-thought-out switch. Get it, install it, Love it.

I just got one of these and I love it. It looks nice, does what you want, and it's easy to use. Use either the remote or the wall unit to set lights to off, full on, or a favorite brightness you set, or dim or brighten to any brightness. Set your favorite brightness by pressing the silver button on the remote for a couple of seconds. Press and hold the panel on the wall unit to turn off with a delay of 10-60 seconds (the longer you press it the longer the delay). All brightness adjustments are gradual. No sudden on or off, which is very nice. I'm thinking about installing some of the non-remote versions in other locations just for the fade on and off. Note 1: Both of my local home improvement chain stores (you know who they are ;-) had this for $39.95. Note 2: The discription is not quite correct. All of the buttons are the same color as the cover plate (white in this case) except for the silver favorites button on the remote.

It works with EcoSmart A19 8.6-Watt (40W) LED Light Bulbs (4), $9.97 each from Home depot. As expected, it did not work with non-dimmable CFL bulbs.

The specification says minimum 60W (maximum 400~600W) so the 4x LED bulbs are way below this specification (8W x4 = 32W) but it still works.

I have purchased several of these over last five years and they are wonderfully convenient, but Lutron should be more honest on the packaging (and on this Amazon details page) that they don't support dimmable CFL or LED lights. There's no excuse for only supporting incandescent in 2013. Especially when they have already figured out the technology in their C.L line of dimmers. Please, Lutron, put out a remote C.L dimmer!

I have also had some quality problems. For example one of my remotes stopped working today. I swapped the batteries and still no luck. Since I wasn't sure whether the remote or the switch itself was the problem, I was about to order a whole new package on Amazon. But then I whacked the dimmer against my hand pretty hard and (for now) it is working again. Shrug.

If I could give 3.5 stars instead of 3, I would.

I have purchased three of these Lutron Maestro IR One Touch Smart Dimmers over the past few years, and just can't say enough positive things about these great remote switches. They may be overkill for some rooms, but for a family room, master bedroom or home theater environment the Lutron Maestro remote control dimmer is a godsend.

This switch will install into any standard switch box, and includes a screwless switch plate, which can be removed if you wish to install your own decorative switch plate. The switch comes with an easy to understand set of instructions, with clear illustrations, and the entire installation takes no more than 10 to 15 minutes.

There is a large push-button switch in the center, with a small rocker control on the right and a bank of 7 small LED lights on the left. You adjust the dimmer level with the rocker control, and the selected lighting level is displayed by the LEDs. Although there are only 7 LED lights, the dimming levels are not restricted to 7, allowing you to select numerous levels in between. If the dimmer is set to maximum, you simply push the large button in the center, which turns on the lights with a smooth fade. Push it again and the lights will fade to off. The entire fading process only takes 3 to 4 seconds, and it adds a very classy touch. Much better than the typical instant on, instant off of standard switches. If you dimmed the lights with the rocker control, and then shut the lights off, the next time you switch the lights on they will fade up to the level you had last. So if you had the lights dimmed to 50% and then shut them off, the next time you turn them on they will only fade up to 50%. If you want to override the previous dimmer setting, simple double tap the large button, which which cause the lights to fade up to maximum. Double tapping also makes the lights fade up faster than a single tap. The switch also allows you to delay shutting off the lights when you leave the room. You simply hold the large button down for a few seconds, which activates the delay feature. The longer you hold it down, the longer the delay will be. The delay can be as little as 10 seconds or as long as 60 seconds. As you hold in the button you will see the green LED flash and move from bottom to top, indicating the time delay setting is increasing the longer you hold in the button. Once you let go of the button the timer starts, and the lights will gradually reduce in intensity until they eventually go off completely.

The included remote control allows you to perform all of the features of this dimmer switch, with the addition of a "Favorite" setting, which utilizes the little silver button on the remote. To program your favorite setting, simply dim your lights to the desired level and then push and hold the silver button for a few seconds. This locks in your setting, and you can now return your lights to this level, at any time, by simply pressing the silver button. This is a great feature if this dimmer is used in a room where you watch movies. Regardless of what light level is currently in use, a simple press of the silver button brings your lights to the previously preset level.

The Lutron Maestro IT One Touch Smart Dimmer is an excellent and versatile product, and I highly recommend it to any home owner who desires a remote controlled dimmer, and likes extra features like delayed-off and a favorite light level setting.

This transformer along with the WAC strip lights seem to be prone to issues with flickering while not under 100% power (when you have them dimmed).

Yes, I've tried several different types of dimmer switches and yes, it still happens.

My current research surrounds using a resistor on the circuit in order to provide an incandescent like current draw which may level out the flickering. We'll see.

This is the second time these transformers and fixtures have produced this result in two separate homes. We are still attempting to resolve the issue in both locations.

I feel as though after having this light in service for four years I could finally write an honest review. Let me start by saying this light is designed perfectly. I work for as a career firefighter for a fire rescue service in Florida and I have used this light in many structure fires as well as motor vehicle accidents. This light is a well constructed ,made of hard plastic. It is mounted (not clipped on) on the standard fire service helmet strap. It provides an amazing amount of light due to the multiple led`s. The design creates a flood light effect, not a beam effect, but still gives very effective distance. The green led's in the unit help cut through smoke inside a structure allowing you to see your surroundings which ever way your head turns. The unit does not add very much weight to the helmet. This light has its pros and cons, the cons to this light is it does have a good size battery back on the back side of the helmet which in one instance did come up and off during a call, it was quickly re secured but as stated only once. The pros to this light is its brightness, easiness of use, and overall sturdiness. I melted the plastic front cover over the led's in a structure fire about a year ago, it did not effect the unit at all just some cosmetic damage. Overall I give it 5 stars, due to its durability and excellent light output. I recommend this unit to everyone. It makes the standard jacket light look like a candle.

I love this light, it works great for night work... I only have one issue. I have a Bullard Wildland helmet with ESS goggles strapped onto it as well. This creates a conflict between the goggle strap and the light strap which cannot both fit under the helmet clips. I am thinking of remedying this by changing to another type of ESS goggle that mounts to the helmet for only 40 dollars.

I bought two of these, had the same experience with both. They were great for about a month, then the batteries would no longer hold a charge. Had to buy two new rechargeable batteries which I had to order online. Same problem with the new batteries. The flashlight worked briefly, then the batteries would no longer charge. I'm not going to put out any more money on a bad product. That would just be foolish. My suggestion, choose a different flashlight. If you're going to have to replace batteries, just get a good flashlight that will work reliably. Don't rely on this to work for very long. When you need it, you may find yourself stumbling around in the dark.

I have owned this flashlight for several months. I leave it on a table near a window and it receives enough sunlight to always be charged. My hubby was always grabbing it so I finally bought him one too. It fits nicely in the hand and the lights are bright enough for any small job. Out of all those flashlight I bought, only one person haven't complained about it stopped working (And I think it's only because she hasn't really used it that much. Recently received this flashlight as a gift, I own another Nebo battery-powered light that I'm somewhat happy with based on the pricepoint, however.... this light just does not work.

There's a small battery in the rear (like a big CMOS battery) and solar panel on the top.

When I received the light, I thought maybe the accessible battery is for when the internal/inaccessible battery is empty out of solar charge. So I left the light outside in direct sunlight for maybe 4 hours, brought it in, turned it on and nothing.

When I went back outside and kept the switch in the on position, I realize it works when in direct sunlight, but as soon as it's removed from the sunlight it turns off.

Is the battery supposed to be rechargeable? It's not recharging. Not sure what kind of scam this is, it really just makes no sense why would you put a solar panel on a light that contains a non-rechargeable battery?

Save your money for a real light, if you want to go green (if you believe in that sort of thing), buy a good light for $50 and some Eneloops.

BTW Cannot find this item on the Nebo website, probably discontinued as an epic FAIL.

I replaced all the interior 1141 incandescent bulbs with these LED bulbs. The light color is just ever so slightly whiter than the 1141 bulbs (3000K instead of about 2700K) but also a slight bit brighter (about the same as a 20 watt 1156 bulb). Considering they use 3 watts to get more light than the 16 watts of those 1141, I can have plenty of light while running on the house batteries without worrying about running the batteries down quickly. These fit almost anywhere 1141 bulbs usually fit so it a plug-n-play replacement.

I now have 27 of these bulbs installed and I'm exceptionally pleased. I have purchased all of these bulbs from Scintiluna (via Amazon or eBay) and this firm has been very quick with shipments and quick to answer any questions. Great job, Scintiluna!

It doesn't have auto turn off or motion sensor, but it is bright.

It's a cool white light and the rotating light heads make this ideal for my needs. I originally intended to use it for my closet, thinking the rotators would be convenient in lighting the nooks and crannies as needed, but I didn't like the light color (and the heads didn't quite rotate enough) and instead placed in on the floor under a cabinet in the bathroom. The flip-up sensor made it ideal for placement customization, and I could aim the lights away from sight, making a great, ambient nightlight that is motion-sensitive and saves me an outlet. My wife and kids love it. I pull it out when we leave and use the alarm features (though not sure why they need two of them) when we're out of town.

I got this showerhead as a gift to myself for our new apartment. It is a lot brighter than I expected it to be. I expected it would only be bright enough to change the color of the water, when it is actually bright enough to take a shower in the dark (so long as you don't turn the water off before you get out of the tub, lol).

A few things to mention:

1) it did not look like the one pictured. It actually looked like this one: Temperature controlled Color Changing LED hand showerhead

2) you will need to buy a hose to go with it if you don't already have one

3) other reviewers said that it was loud, although I can't hear it at all. It doesn't make any extra noise that I can tell.

4) it does not light up all of the colors at once like in the picture, that is there to show you a demo of the colors it has. It changes colors smoothly every 2 seconds or so.

5) it will decrease your water pressure slightly, but that may be as much due to the hose as the showerhead itself. However, if you have strong water pressure like I do, it isn't anything to fret about.

All in all, I absolutely adore it. I'm very glad I bought it, and have completely enjoyed it ever since I put it up. The only reason it got 4 stars from me instead of 5 is because of the difference in appearance. It simply does not look like the picture. In function though, I am VERY happy with it.

This is a very interesting piece, and the lights work great, and it came on time, however there is one major flaw that makes me give this item only one star.

The water-powered motor that energizes the lights is loud, insanely loud in fact, and although I love looking at the lights and the effect of showering in the dark is awesome, the sound is just so intense that i cannot stand to take an actual shower.

The stronger the water pressure pumped through it the louder it gets, so it's only tolerable on such a low setting that it cannot do anything in terms of cleaning the body.

I am going to attempt to return this shower head for another in hopes that the one I received was simply defective, but if this is not the case then this product is definitely not worth the purchase.

We attached this chrome shower head to the hose of a hand-held shower, but it looks like it will work fine on a regular shower as well. It came with a clear plastic washer. It changes colors one at a time (unlike in the picture), for some reason lingering much longer on red than any other. The whole cycle of colors takes maybe 20 seconds. The water pressure is much softer than the shower head it replaced, and not adjustable (as the other was). It is wonderful for relaxing but would not be good for rinsing shampoo quickly from your hair.

We used it to motivate our kids to use the shower near their room, rather than the bigger one in the master bedroom. They love the lights and the gentleness, and have no desire (so far) to switch back to our bigger, but boring one.

This was the exact light bulb I needed inside a switch on the dash of my Toyota Landcruiser. Difficult and delicate installation. Requires you to wrap the leads of the bulb around the posts on the switch. Not the bulbs fault it was difficult, it was the engineers fault who designed the switch. Bulb worked flawlessly.

I am so pleased with these little lamps. I purchased 20 of them to feature artwork for my students, and they are incredible! They give off just the right amount of light, have a nice clip on them that holds pages of a book in place, or can clamp on an art canvas with no problems. Yes, the batteries are expensive, but if you invest in decent batteries (I bought a pack of 100 Energizer on Amazon for $30), I think you will be just fine. Customer service for this company is wonderful. I had direct contact with a person via email. She was professional, sweet, and they were quick to answer any of my questions in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend!

I have 8 Halo 4" recessed lights in my living room and was going through incandescent bulbs like crazy. I ordered one of these to test because I knew there were different shades of LED lights available and I didn't want it to look like an office. I installed one of these LED bulbs and left the other 7 incandescent bulbs in place. The LED bulb was almost the exact shade as the other bulbs. Also the LED bulb was brighter than the 50watt bulbs in the other lights. I will update in the future to rate on longevity however I am 100% satisfied at first glance.

Pros:

Brighter than a 50 Watt Incandescent

Dims perfectly

Much cooler (Wont trip overheat sensor on recessed light after many hours on)

Cons:

Price

Was hoping for a flood effect and this was more of a spot effect (Not a Deal breaker at all)

Also I ordered more for the other 7 lights.

Color and brightness seem to be about what the specs read, but as noted in at least one other review, this is more of a spot light than a flood, there is a bright white center. I also have TCP LED floods that give a much more even light with no spot in the middle

I wanted to use this as a replacement for one of the track lights in my kitchen. It's quite bright, but the warmth rating is off (admittedly the title is "Bright White", but the K rating made me think it would be ok). Also it definitely doesn't 'flood', the angle of spread is very narrow -it's more like a spot light. If that's what you need, then go for it, but otherwise look elsewhere.

If only Edison invented this bulb he would have saved us all thousands. It is perfect, warm, white light. Spend the $$ and you will definitely be impressed. Use amazon packaging, easy to open and great for the enviornment.
