I really like it. Was a bit pricey at $17.00, but I use it often. Also, I know one of the selling points is the 'flickering' effect. Not liking that so much, but others may appreciate it.

The 40W fluorescents (150-200W equivalent) are hard to find in most brick and mortar stores (they like to sell the smaller 40W and the 100W equivalents) so I was double-happy when I saw this one at Amazon. First, because Amazon carries it and second because it's available under super-savers' shipping.
Talking about the item itself:
you WILL experience some delay when you turn it on but it's hardly noticeable, like maybe 1/10 of a second
once it's on, unlike the 'cheaper' fluorescents that need to warm up, it shines at or close to full brightness immediately
it's a bulky, significantly wider and longer than the 150W incandescent equivalents and it may not fit all fixtures where a regular 150W bulb used to fit
does not work well with a dimmer it's either on or off [I tried it with one and it did come on at full brightness but something is telling me that you may shorten its life when used this way]
the light is bright, so bright, I would not stare at it directly I did once and I saw 'ghosts' for the next 15-30 minutes
the color of light is closer to 'solar' than what our 'incandescents' deliver, less yellow, more blue
unlike neon lights, there's no flicker
it consumes less power when compared to an incandescent
The above were my subjective comments. Here are the specs, as the manufacturer lists them:

The major issue I have with the fluorescents is their lifespan. Maybe I am unlucky but, after replacing nearly all my light bulbs in the house a few dozen they seem to burn out more often. My first couple 40W I bought a few years ago (a different brand), in fact, died after about one year, I hope this is not the case again because we are paying top dollar for these environmentally nice devices.
So far, I see no reason not to award this bulb 5 stars but, if it dies on me before 2-3 years, I promise to come back and update my review. For the record, the maker promises a 7-year lifespan and $152 (???) savings per bulb.

April 2013 update:
On their 49th month, they (I bought a 2-pack) are as bright and shiny as on 'day one' and they've been on for many hours because I telecommute most of the time and my office is in the basement. I haven't done the math but I'm quite confident that they've paid for themselves already, probably several times over.
I bought 2 more in December, 2009 and no burnouts yet.

This light is intensely bright. I got onto the Fluoroscent bulbs when I switched over and I saw how much it reduced my electric bill. I also liked the fact that I could spoil myself with the high powered light bulb without the high powered bulb prices. I put a few 100 watt bulbs in the house but I didn't even know they went to 200 until I saw this one. To be honest it's almost to much. It really and truly makes it feel like it's the middle of the day when I turn this thing on at night. I am excited to read with it. It's a very pure slightly blueish light. The bulb is much larger than a normal bulb so be aware.The only light I could compare it to is the elven light in Lord of the Rings. You know the one Frodo holds up to fend off the spider? It's exactly like that. Seriously. It's elven bright.

Finding a CFL greater than 100W-equivalent is pretty difficult. Finding one that is 200W-equivalent and 6500K is almost impossible. Been using three of these for around 16 hours a day for 6 months now with no troubles. They are turned on and not turned off during that period thoughI have no idea how they perform when constantly turned on and off, which is not how CFLs should be run anyway btw.These bulbs are large physically, heavy, bright, very blue/white/daylight-ish, and they represent an excellent value.

The colors, Brightness and modes are very impressive. The remote has a pitiful range less than 6' and has to be pointed directly at the lamp and the lamp has no memory so when you turn off the switch and turn it back on it goes into demo mode not the setting you last had it on. The lack of memory makes it unusable in almost all commercial applications but man I wish I has some these in High School.

The photo describing the light is a bit deceiving. The actual bulb looks like a bulb, but a little bigger. The functions are the same but the bulb may stick out of your shade as it did in my case with the floor lamp. item is kind of neat and my daughter likes it. The only thing thats annoying is the frequency used for the remote is the same as my tv. I like colours!It is a good experience observing the colours that change smoothly.
I think this is a good product to give a different light in a room, during evening and night.
It is possible choosing single colors by remote controller or launching an automatic program that changes 16 different colours.

The light I got looked NOTHING like it did in this picture. It had a giant globe, and would not fit where I wanted it. I assumed the globe was plastic and removable.There were no instructions, paperwork, or warnings of any kind. Trying to twist off the globe caused it to SHATTER in my hand and glass shards cut through my hand and fell into my lap, all through my chair, keyboard, and carpet.
Yeah, maybe it wasn't the smartest thing for me to do but my point is this light is NOTHING like advertised in the picture. (They didn't even get proper remote in the picture).
Cheap Leviton 49563-SWL Blue LED Decorative Night Light with Swirl-Design
First one I received was DOA, but Amazon very quickly sent out a new one and the second one works fine. As others have reviewed, it puts off a good amount of light, but isn't too bright. I have this installed in our bathroom for 'night visits.' Maybe I should have paid more attention, but there is no way to turn this off. There is no switch or light sensor (I thought one might be on the side out of view). I've never seen one without one or the other, so I didn't think about it. I would have liked to turn it off sometimes, but I guess I'll get used to it being on all the time. If that doesn't bother you, this is great! I deducted the 1-star because the first one that I received was dead and not so much the lack of a switch. That was my oversight.

This nightlight gives off a blue tinted light. continuous, bright light, enough to see by night in bathroom, hallways. Too bright for bedroom but great for other areas where light is needed. I got this to put in my bathroom at night, it was a good price and it sounded like it wasn't too bright or too dim a light. The blue light it gives off is really cool and just the right amount to illuminate a regular sized bathroom. This is not a night light to illuminate anything but the plug it's inserted into. Very disappointed, only lights up about a foot square area! I don't know why it got such good reviews, as I rely on them so much.
First Alert PIR720RN Motion Sensing Light Socket Reviews
I purchased this for an understair closet with a bare socket light and a switch that was hard to reach. The socket is hung horizontally from the wall, not the ceiling. When I first put it in, it didn't work at all either didn't come on or didn't go off. It took some doing but I was able to get it to work by using blue painters tape around about 2/3 of the clear portion (so only a portion facing the entrance door is clear). It doesn't look the best, but I have to admit it's been a life saver. But be forewarned, it's not bullet proof. I suspect the problem in our case was the very tight quarters that because the light hung horizontally, the sensor did not have enough clear space 360 degrees around it. However, when I masked all but the front facing portion of the sensor, it started to work and has worked well since then.

Another reviewer mentioned that the range is insufficient. I've found that while the units do respond to a 360 degree circle, they do not respond equally in all directions. The unit responds excellently in two opposite directions and poorly in between. The manufacturer must know this because the center terminal is spring loaded and makes electrical contact about a half turn before the sensor screws tight into the socket. Thus, you can unscrew the unit by about a half turn and still have it work. I've taken a few days and slowly unscrewed the sensor from the ceiling socket a few degrees at a time until the most sensitive direction faces my single point of entry. Works much better that way. Doing similarly might help some folks.
November 2012 addition --Newer units from this manufacturer make finding the sweet spot easier as they now mold in a small bar (or mark) on the sensor which matches the direction of best sensitivity. My old units are not marked and trial and error is used.
This sensor will only work with ceiling mounted bulbs (according to the instructions, only with incandescent bulbs between 25 & 100W, but see below). It will not work with wall-mounted lights, even if it's a bare bulb, unless you manage to set the sensor in a vertical position (as if it were hanging from the ceiling) AND manage to keep the sensor at least 12 inches from the wall. The problem is that once the light is on, the heat reflected from wall will keep the sensor always on and will not turn the light off after you leave the room. Also, according to the instructions, the sensor will not work if it's inside any kind of enclosure, even if it's glass or clear plastic, it will only work with bare bulbs.
The instructions state that the sensor will NOT work with fluorescent bulbs, but I tried it anyway with a 23 W bulb (100 W incandescent equivalent) and it works, except that it takes a while for the bulb to warm up and for the light to reach its maximum intensity; after that it's fine. The delay is an issue of the fluorescent bulb, not the sensor. I noticed that another reviewer tried a fluorescent bulb and it flickered, but I had no problems except the delay time. It is possible that the other reviewer used a 15 W fluorescent bulb (the 23W bulb I used is close to the minimum 25W recommended). Or, maybe it only works with certain brands of fluorescent bulbs, (my bulb didn't have the brand printed on it, but it's a regular compact spiral one).
The sensor does not have a photocell, so it will always turn the light on once it detects movement. Therefore, it is best for places with low light or no windows where, if you are in the room, you will always need the light on, regardless of whether it's day or night.

This is an amazing product. I love it! If they were less expensive, I'd buy five or six. I have one in my basement, where the bulbs are old-fashioned screw-in-to-turn-on types (not pull chains). Yes, I could rewire the basement, but in the meantime, this is the perfect choice. If you need a zwave fan switch in a three-way install, this is the accessory switch you need. It works well and does not look bad when mixed with other types of switches. I'm using this in a house filled with Cooper switches. I've found that the fact that it looks different ends up being a plus when it's placed in a multi-gang box since you don't have to guess which switch operates the fan. Do yourself a favor and listen to the advice not to place fan loads on a standard zwave light switch, they make noise and burn out. Remember, this is an accessory switch for three-way operation; you need to buy a master switch to use this.

You need to use this remote switch in 3-way applications where you want the LED lights to operate from more than one location. You can't just use two standard Leviton dimmer switches and get them to work in a 3-way circuit, irregardless of whether you want the LED lights to operate or not. This switch will also not work by itself, you must use it in a 3-way or 4-way circuit with a standard Leviton dimmer. I liked using this switch because when you set the dimmer the LED lights match at more than one location. We have installed several of these switches around are home and have been very happy with them. It has been going strong for almost 2 years now with no issues! My reasoning for 4 stars is when dimmed to low levels it does exhibit and audible hum, but so do the other switches, so I would assume it is characteristic of the design. I have alos noticed it does get a bit warm when holding dimmed values. I started to build my "Smart Home" using z-wave technology. All said and done, I really like z-wave better than x-10 though I have tried the Insteon. I chose to go with Leviton because they are very respectable brand that has made quality products. My house was built to code in 2008 so the electrical system is clean and documented. I figured this would be a strait forward installation.The Visia RF + system is a little more complicated than installing normal light switches so I had an electrician help me do the installation (which they recommend). One of the big issues is that not all the functionality is properly documented, the documentation is especially lacking a troubleshooting guide. It was a breeze to install the Vizia RF+ Dimmer in a single pole configuration. I had to have an electrician help me install the remote dimmers because the documentation is a little confusing, even for someone who is handy. The wiring has to be perfect for it to communicate to the dimmer (I used a Leviton VRI10-1LX, which is awesome!). I will eventually post a like to what I discovered so all you DIY folks out there.
So be warned it is not as simple as they make out but once it is up and running, it is damn cool.

Used this to replace a halogen bulb on a fiber optic tree. The halogen bulb only lasted a year and burned out. this bulb will last much longer and is less expensive in the long run.
The "cool" colored light is whiter and brighter, which I prefer over the "warm" color that has a bit less white and a bit more yellow.
This lamp doesn't have a lens, so the light will be diffuse and won't project too far ahead of you, but if you're riding at 15 mph or so, you'll have more than enough to light your way.
Also, this lamp will brighten up the inside of your house, and will make a dandy component of a hand-held flashlight (which is my next project).
It stays nice and cool, which is very cool. It is, as the Friendly Fortuneteller would say, the "Wave of the Future."

I got a bum light the first time--the light wouldn't turn off when I switched it to Off--and in anger put up a bunch of negative reviews. I refused a replacement or refund from the company (no good reason why...). Happily, the owner contacted me again and insisted I let him make it up to me. So he sent me a replacement of the incandescent bulb night light and I also ordered a light with an LED bulb for comparison. I'm so sorry I put the owners, a husband and wife, through that. This is a lovely product.
These lights are well-crafted with good materials. The plastic image is sandwiched between 2 glass screens and to change out the image, you just carefully pry off the black frame. The packaging is very well-done and gift-ready. Every night light comes with an extra bulb.
The owner designed this specific bulb so it's perfect. He took the standard 7-watt bulb and inserted 2 rows of 3 tiny LED lights which face straight forward. So the glow is even and there's no bright spot. The amount of illumination is perfect.
I can hardly tell the difference between the LED and incandescent bulbs but I prefer the LED because it doesn't get warm.

I'm VERY into soft natural lighting, but I have cats, so I tend to buy a lot of little battery operated candles. These are probably the nicest I've seen for the price. I would buy more of these.
The product info is a little light on details, so I'll tell you more about the ones I received. These do not have the tacky little flame shape built into the plastic on the top, they have a cute little black wick, and when not switched on look a lot classier in the decor than the cheap kind you usually see at drug stores. They're covered in real wax, so they look and feel nicer than most of this sort of product. They take a standard cr2032 battery, which you can get cheap in big numbers on eBay, so you don't have to worry about only using them occasionally. The batteries are easier to change than some candles of this type. Some of this sort of candle require you to use a jewelers screwdriver to open the battery compartment, but these just have a plastic tab, so they're super easy to replace.
The only thing I would change about this product is that the whole candle lights up. It's a natural warm light that flickers gently and is very lovely. Some products have only the top half of the candle lighting up, which looks a lot more natural. I would have done something similar on these if I designed them, with a real looking wick halfway into the candle and light only on the top half of the candle, but other than that one small quibble, these are the nicest inexpensive faux candles I've seen and I definitely recommend them and would buy them again.

Measuring in at just a tad shy of 1.5" wide and 1.75" tall, this little candle was exactly what I was looking for. These flameless votives are smaller than most battery operated votive candles that are found in stores. The diameter makes them a suitable substitute for use in wall scounces. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but I am so glad I ordered these.1. they fit perfectly into the smaller votive holders than I have had problems finding candles for.
2. they're easy to set up
3. unlike other reviews, I don't have any issues with the way they look or operate. however,they are lit from top to bottom, which does look a little weird, but I personally like it, others may not.
4. the ones I received, are VERY waxy feeling feel like the real thing.
5. I ordered these on a Sunday, received them on Tuesday fast shipping.
I would recommend these to any one who needs a safe alternative to the real thing and who are looking for something a bit smaller in circumference than real votives.

Do not buy this product, poor quality, will be under water leakage and corrosion housing; if you do not believe, you can do some testing, put this flashlight into the water, turn the power off, wait a few hours, it will find a flashlight housing is corrosion, the water will have electricity, very dangerous.

This Banker's Lamp arrived 2 days after I had placed my order, and it was securely packaged, with nary a scratch, dent or ding or anything broken. After reading some of the horror stories for cheaper banker's lamps I decided to go a bit upscale. I'm glad I did.The Ledu-brand lamp came completely assembled. All I did was screw in the included CFL lamp and plug it in. The blue glass shade's friction screw was tightened enough that I can position the shade wherever I like--no adjustment was necessary to the screw.
Note that there are multiple listings and, unfortunately, wildly varying prices, for this same lamp all over Amazon. If you search for "ledu bankers lamp" you'll see what I mean. Mine was $53.55 from Shoplet.
Very satisfied with my purchase.
