Used this to replace a halogen bulb on a fiber optic tree. The halogen bulb only lasted a year and burned out. this bulb will last much longer and is less expensive in the long run.

I replaced the two 6 watt halogen bulbs in my bicycle light with two of these LED lamps, and they're amazing. They put out lots more light and use less than half the electric power, so now I can ride at night for longer distances (my little 12 volt battery doesn't last forever) and with a brighter light.

The "cool" colored light is whiter and brighter, which I prefer over the "warm" color that has a bit less white and a bit more yellow.

This lamp doesn't have a lens, so the light will be diffuse and won't project too far ahead of you, but if you're riding at 15 mph or so, you'll have more than enough to light your way.

Also, this lamp will brighten up the inside of your house, and will make a dandy component of a hand-held flashlight (which is my next project).

It stays nice and cool, which is very cool. It is, as the Friendly Fortuneteller would say, the "Wave of the Future."
