Couldn't find this size in local hardware stores or regional major home improvement stores, except in the Midwest. Needed for an integral stove-top light in a summer home. Concern about breakage and mercury contamination prevented purchase in the Midwest and transport in carry-on luggage.
This product arrived packaged in bubble wrap on all sides and ends, in the middle of a stiff triangular tube that couldn't be crushed or bent until it was disassembled for recycling. When I saw this sturdy protective packaging I was so glad that I hadn't attempted to transport the tube cross-country myself and risk contaminating an airplane or car with mercury.This bulb is exactly what I wanted. It works perfect. The service was extremely fast. The bulb arrived in perfect condition.
