When the original bulbs stopped working I replaced them with a generic 50 hour bulb and it worked fine, until it too stopped working (an annoying short period). So I set out to find a longer life bulb. What amazes me is how bad I was at finding info on determine what bulb type/style/etc I needed. For instance, what does ELC/3 vs. ELC/5 vs. ELC/10 really mean? Try finding it. Found ELC but not the number part. Anyhoooo, this bulb had the right voltage and wattage so I went for it. It arrive in a timely manner, in good protective packaging. The *only* issue were the two leads where the power connects to the bulb. The leads were shorter than the bulb I was replacing and the connector keeps falling off. I'm going to order a new connector and see if that helps, but in the mean time, I broke out the micro screwdriver, shoved it into the hole and bent the tiny connecting terminals reducing their diameter just enough to hold onto the bulbs leads. I also think securing something between the connector and the back plate that can take the heat will help keep it connected to the bulb.
So five stars for being 1000 hours. Let's see how long they really last. It will only be a gut feel because I don't use the lights that much (Intimidator 2.0 scanner from Chauvet Lighting).
