I looked every where to find this type of a bulb at this wattage. I even had my electricians check at supply houses, no luck.

The light output is not that great because its 50 watts, but I needed to replace these in a cheaply manufactured light fixture and reduce wattage from 100 watts to these because the 100 watts got to hot.

They arrived on time, and are still working months later, so all is good!

Shiped fast, simple packaging fit in my mailbox, works great. Despite it being rated at 50 watts, it's fairly dim and incandescently warm, like a regular 25 watt light bulb. Good for an atmospheric effect if you want to use your desk lamp for more decorative purposes, but if you're going to read by it I suggest 100 watts or higher, depending on the rating of your lamp.

This was a hard-to-find item in all the home improvement and specialty lighting stores. Packed OK by Larry Wigginton (Mrs. Wigg's).
