This piece, like all of the other Tiffany knockoffs on Amazon, is made in China out of some pretty cheap materials, but you can't see this from a distance. This lamp in particular has a better quality base. It ships packed (securely) in the worst quality packaging, but it arrived intact. The pieces of "shell" are actually some plastic sort of material, but the color is quite nice and the lead-looking stuff is indeed metal. Overall, the Chinese solution works here: it looks like a product that should cost twice as much.

I'm disappointed in this lamp. The black material between the pieces of glass is very shoddily done and uneven giving it a cheap appearance. I wanted my fake Tiffany lamp to look the part.
