This device is a small but bright RGB Floodlight! It comes with an IR remote which allows you to control color and brightness. In addition, there is a strobe function and color shifting modes, both sudden and fade. I was able to control it from at least 30' away. Does not run hot, but does get warm, especially if you use the white mode at full power. This is really worth the price. I probably will buy a few more as individual tree floods (I have some white trees) outside of my house.

This RGB LED flood light works as described, but what is not mentioned is that the IR receiver is hidden next to the LEDs (the IR receiver is what you point the remote at). To control the light, you must point the remote directly at the front of the LED housing from a close distance.

I mounted my lights up on a wall pointing up so they wouldn't shine directly into someone's eyes. The challenge is that when I need to turn the lights on/off or switch color modes, I have to climb a ladder or chair and point the remote down and directly into the LEDs. Other models that look VERY similar have the IR receiver hanging out the back of the housing which can be positioned in any direction. With these other models, you could be behind the light and still control it.

I opened them up and tested them and the colors work perfectly. I turned the power off and on, and the color selected stayed the same (A key for buying them). AND ... they are brighter than I thought great product.

when you have to hold it less than a foot from the light for it to work. response from seller? we checked it, you're right, but nothing we can do about it. how about stop calling it remote? how about editing the product description to read, " remote only works in range less than a foot," so as not to waste consumers' time and energy buying this item only to have the hassle of returning this item and then expending more time and energy to shop for a remote that actually works from a remote location!

I use it to light a portion of my backyard...for ambiance. I change the colours every night. I hope it works ok in the winter when it snows. Coloured snow would look nice....esp around xmas. I put it by my patio door and the remote works fine from inside when the remote is pointed at the unit.
