I know these are meant to use for signage, but they also are great for any accent light in-home -especially if you cannot see the bulb directly.
I used these to replace a pair of 7 1/2 watt "night lights" in some ornamental lighting in my living room. These lights are on almost all the time and I've pared 15 watts of power down to about one watt.
