LED lights are far more efficient and give off no heat and that was the main objective in replacing the light bulbs for the island in my kitchen. Save energy and light the area your working in without excess heat. So much better than Incandescent bulbs or Cfl's.

These lights are really daylight rather than warm white. They don't dim as much as I would like but I will switch the dimmer to one rated for LED's and see if they work better. I installed 8 so I can't wait to see my electric bill go down.
