The metal covering on this lamp is VERY flimsy...just a little stronger than aluminum foil; however, it was the only inexpensive heat lamp I could find. It does work for what I purchased it for though.

Cord is extra long and the ceramic insulated bulb socket is a plus to keep things from getting too hot. Even came with a bulb guard!

I built an infrared sauna with three of these at home and 250-watt infrared light bulbs. Wow. really makes me sweat and detox. I just clamp them onto drawers in the bathroom and sit there on a plastic folding chair.

It has worked beautifully with a 250 watt red bulb to keep our 8 chickss happy and warm. But the way it is put together is pretty shoddy and my three year olds have wiggled it loose a few times. If I hadn't been watching there def could have been chick death/coop fire. It is really easy to knock apart. But, if there are no little ones to touch it, it's just dandy.

It came on time, wrapped like the mummy(that's a good thing) three minor dents very thin metal. Overall heavy thick wire, socket was cool to the touch when I put a 105 watt 5000k lamp on it. I will purchase to lamp again will recommend this product ..A lot of bang for your buck...
