I bought this for reading in bed when sleepless late at night. Instead of clipping it to the book, I clip it to my headboard. I first bought a similar light with one arm, two leds. It did not give me as much light as my old eyes need. This one gives enough light, easily directs the light and is small/light enough to be convenient either on the book or on the headboard.
My one disappointment is my own fault. I thought the AC adapter would come with the light. Thinking that way, I chose this light over another which had 6 leds. I do not see a way to order the adapter separately, either.
I wish it used AAA batteries, whereas it uses AAAA. It may be that the AAAs will last long enough. We shall see.

Bought this for my hubby because he reads books all the time. He really loves it and is useful when sitting in a dark car while traveling. Great buy.

I can not find one good thing to say about this. Except that it gave me a reason to kick my self for not listening to the other reviews. It drains batteries very fast. The necks don't stay were you put them, and the lights are not bright at all. This was my last hope in assisting my night time reading. After this purchase I threw in the towel and bought a Barnes and Noble Glowlight

GOT IT FOR MY MOTHER IN LAW FOR CHRISTMASM SHE READS ALOT , I DONT THINK SHE IS THAT IMPRESSED WITH IT, SORTA BULKY BIG FOR HER BOOKS AND THE LARGE CLIPPING SYSTEM INTERFERES WITH THE READING OF PAGES , COVERS UP WORDS, SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SMALLER ONE ??? BUT SHE DOES LIKE IT FOR TRAVEL IN THE CAR. //

Works as advertised. Each side has its own switch, and each LED illuminates one page sufficiently. If used as shown in picture, then each page-turn requires un-clipping and re-clipping. So, I always clip it *****behind***** the pages being read, to a good thickness of pages if on a paperback book, or on the back binding if on a hard-bound book.
