I ordered 4 of these, and quite honestly, I was suspect of them because of the low price. I have not used them for long, so I can't attest to their service life, but so far they work great. I have a hunting cabin, powered by battery/solar, so I am very concious of power consumption. These draw less than half an amp and put out lots of light. They're a little odd in lamps, because they only put out light on the top half of the bulb, but they're perfect for overhead lights. I will definetly buy more of them when I need additional bulbs.

Good price (under $7) for a bright 12v LED bulb. I ordered one for a solar project, it arrived in 11 days w/ free shipping from China. I'm running this bulb off a 12v 7.0 a/h (not fully charged, btw) battery from an APS for testing, so far it gives several hours of bright light. If it runs continuously for a few weeks, I'm buying more. They run fairly cool (cooler than a 5w 12v CF), a big plus since they'll be used with in a hot, tropical environment. I also discovered that the "dome" top screws off to expose the LEDs if you need a more focused light.

I replaced my 4, 12v 25 watt bulbs in my fish house with these units and I love them. The light is whiter than my incadesent bulbs and produce more lumens than the old bulbs. They not only give me more light output but instead of drawing 8 amps to light my old bulbs I am only drawing a little less than 2 amps on these 4 LED bulbs which means I do not need to charge my battery near as offten. A nice side effect is that when the battery voltage drops off the LED bulbs flicker a little bit which alerts me that I need to recharge my battery. If the battery drops off more the lights stop flickering and remain lit. At the price of these bulbs you cannot go wrong compared to other LED bulbs that I looked at.
Honest reviews on niceEshop E27 5w 12v High-power White Light Bulb
These bulbs provide a good amount of light probably about equal to a 40 watt incandescent bulb. They work well when driven from a 12 volt DC solar panel. They shine mostly down, with a bit of light to the sides, so they work great when installed in a socket attached to the ceiling. These lights cannot be dimmed, but I wasn't looking for that feature. Note that there are no markings on the bulb to indicate that they are to be connected to 12 volts and not 120 volts, so be careful to connect them only to a low voltage (12 volt) power circuit.

I used this bulb in a garden shed solar light system. It is unbelievably bright and only consumes 5 watts of power. Screws into standard bulb socket. Would recommend getting two for a 12 volt solar panel, battery system.
