I use the Ott-lite when I'm sewing. It really makes sewing much easier because the light shines right where I want it.

It is so lightweight and flexible and being small , it can sit almost anywhere beside the sewing part of the machine.

I would recommend it for reading,too.

I returned this lamp because it didn't give off enough light to read in unfortunately. I like the color Champagne, but I found that my bankers light with a florescent bulb gave off more light. I wouldn't recommend this product.

This light is exactly what I have been looking for. I am now able to clearly see the right side of the needle to stitch the 1/4 inch seam required for quilting!! The light does not interfere with my work.
