This is a very nice automatic light. It is light in weight, but is a quality product. The back plate can be mounted by the included screws or the included sticky pads. I mounted mine on the porch, above the front door to illuminate the porch and door lock, so coming home after dark allows me to easily see the door lock...no more fumbling with getting the key into the lock. It comes on when I'm about 10' to 12' away and stays on for about 25 seconds. I actually mounted mine with a couple of thumb tacks, so no large screw holes if I ever take it down. I've had it up for some time now and the batteries are lasting well.

VERY bright! I like how it is tilted downward so it doesn't shine directly straight out but instead illuminates the floor. We use it on a 5 stair down to our laundry room and it lights up perfectly! The sensor is also very sensitive and it always turns on.

I bought two of these lights. One I gave to my dad to put in his outbuilding so when he goes out at night for something, he will be able to see well enough to either turn on the regular light switch or just go to the freezer and get something with out tripping over something. They do give off quite a bit of light, and will stay on while there is movement . After you leave the area, they will turn off in about 15 to 25 seconds. I'd recommend these to anyone wanting a small motion light.

I used 3M picture hanging strips to attach this to the slide out next to the door on our RV so that it will illuminate the steps at night. It works perfectly and I don't have to worry about the rain or snow. Nice and bright, long battery life, and I'm very satisfied with it.

I use it laying on the step near the front door. I bought it to stick over the front door but due to the door trim, it never stuck well. But it works even better just laid beside the door and instantly lights up as we come and go. Still going on one set of batteries. Impressed with this light even using it in this way.
