It's a pain in the a## to clean, if you use it in a bathroom be sure to turn it on every time you shower to avoid steam collecting on the glass and making it dirty even faster

I read a review from another site that the light was bright so the customer had put it on a dimmer switch. I decided to buy a dimmer switch when I got the lamp so I would be ready if it was too bright. The lamp worked for about 1/2 hour and then stopped working. I had a professional electrician install it, so I had him come back and look at it. He said the lamp was faulty, not his wiring job. Lampsplus.com shipped me a replacement lamp, and it worked for a few days, and was really great. Then it too, stopped working. I contacted Lampsplus.com and they are sending me a replacement transformer for the light but advised that it can't be on the dimmer, it isn't designed to be on one and that's why it keeps shorting out. So, I'm off to get a new switch that can't be dimmed. Other than that, the lamp is great. It is bright, but it is really unusual and fun to have. The LED's are great for watching movies. They brighten the room enough to see but not to interfere with what you are watching. The loose crystals are a bit of pain in the butt, but it's not like you have to use them. The lamp is great, the customer service has been great, I highly recommend the product.

I thought this bottom was crystallized. The crystals come separately and you have to place them in the light. I was about to throw the crystals out. I thought it was just packing.
