This light is much more impressive than it looks in the picture. It is well-built and looks majestic in our front hall. We have 8' high ceilings and had a hard time finding a light that wasn't on a chain that would still be impressive when visitors first enter our house. This fits the bill. The height is perfect, it doesn't hang too low (a standard door will still swing open under it) yet it is substantial enough to catch your eye and it just looks right. Ours arrived well packed and with no damage. It took me about 15 minutes to install and I had no problems.
