I tried one of these and really liked how you could swivel the light to point where you wanted it to. Went out and bought quite a few more to use all around the house. Unfortunately none of them lasted more than a few months and you cannot replace the bulb. I also tried a few fluorescent night lights that promised long life but none of them lasted more than a year. Now I am trying out various LED nightlights trying to find one that provides a good light. I have never had an LED light burn out but most either have a lot of glare when there isn't any other source of light or they don't put out enough light to do any good. Still looking.

I bought these nite lites for a dark hallway but ended up using them for my covered front porch. I put two of them in the outdoor outlet and aimed them downward. They put out the perfect amount of light to light the area in front of the door. The best part is they turn on and off automatically. They are sealed very well so bugs are not a worry and they look very attractive lit up. While they probably are not suitable for outdoor locations that are completely exposed they are perfect for areas never exposed to rain. I have had them on the porch for about 2 1/2 months now and they have been absolutely ideal as footpath lights!

I purchased and installed one of these in September, and was pretty satisfied with the light. However, three months later, it stopped working. When I touched it, the light appeared to go on again, but off as soon as I removed my hand.

I have had lights similar to this in the past, but all others have lasted much longer than this. I guess I'll plug in the second one to see how long it works.

I love thse little lights. I was beginning to panic that I couldn't find them again. They give out a nice, warm directional light. I prefer the warm incandescent lighting to LED which is much to "cold" for my taste. I have been using these for the past two years and will continue to until incandescent is no longer available. As to the lifespan...I have them all over my home and they have run consistantly for at least four months.
