Bought these bulbs in lieu of the much more expensive GE bulbs. These are no name bulbs with no hint of their origin. S11 bulbs are an odd 'size' and generally difficult to locate. The ones I have purchased in the past have had very short lifespans. None of these have failed yet, but they have been in use for a very short time. Shipping took about two weeks. They arrived via US Snail Mail, were well packaged with no damage. All that remains is to see how long they last.

Update April 1, 2012: First three bulbs have been in use for six months. They have been used every day for 5+ hours. No failures yet.

Update Nov. 3, 2012: First three bulbs are still going. Thinking about making a record run.

How a box of lit bulbs was going to arrive at my home without breakage was the main question on my mind when I made this purchase. But they did and they are working as well as the locally purchased bulbs I had bought in the past--and at value price.

These bulbs are used in my over-the-range microwave. It's an odd sized bulb and why a standard sized bulb wasn't used I'll never know (who are these engineers who make these decisions!). With this being over the range we tended to keep them on a lot..like a night light. And they subsequently burned out rapidly. Finding them was sometimes difficult and usually expensive. With that in mind, I knew I needed a good supply at a reasonable price, and this purchase was the solution. These bulbs last as long if not longer than my previous local purchases.

I bought 10 of these bulbs for 91¢ through amazon. I figured I had nothing to lose as the GE version of these S11 bulbs cost $5 each.

Well, it's been a couple of months now, and no burn outs. The GE bulbs last only a month or so, at best. We have a curio case that takes two of these bulbs, and I have them on an auto timer that turns them on for 5 hours a night.

The skinny buy these bulbs.

BTW if you order these bulbs as a lot of 25, they come packaged in a factory box, with a cardboard divider inside that houses each bulb individually. If you order them 10-15 at a time, they take them out of the box and ship them wrapped together in bubble wrap. The box is a better option, IMO. 25 bulbs should last you a year or more.

These are hard to find locally...... and they're usually expensive. When I find them, they usually burn out in a matter of weeks. So far, so good with these. For the price you can't go wrong.

If they don't last at least a 1,000 hours, I'll be back to update~

*UPDATE* These are now JUNK in my book. Just installed my 4th one in the same outlet.... That's 3 gone bad in less then 2 months....... That would be an F

The bulb was inexpensive, packaged well, and arrived quickly.

Also it works fine.
