I like to read late at night. My sister, being a nurse, needs her sleep, so I wanted a book light that could deliver strong, clear light without disturbing her. I'd bought two other lights before, with mixed results. The Huglight, though, seems to fit the bill--I can have the light directed where I want it(with minimum 'spillage' of light where it might disturb my sister.
Furthermore, should I need it, there's additional light options(:a wide-band light from all four LED lights. To add to this light's versatility, the arms(the Huglight is U-shaped device that literally 'hugs' one's neck)of the light can be bent into whatever shape is needed for thetask at hand.
This is a huge improvement over my other booklights. The only thing I could ask for is one of two things: either provide the customer with the requisite AAA batteries needed to operate this light, or provide a solar light panel to charge the light. Perhaps, too, the Huglight could be jointed as well as flexible to allow even more variations in lighting positions.
Outside of that, the rating I would give this product, out of five stars, I give it five stars...

Love these lights! Great for reading in bed and not disturbing your partner. Great for nighttime walks to the bathroom or to let the dog out. Just great!

I bought this in hopes of using it to knit by at night, so as not to use a lamp. Unfortunately, the lights, even at full, are not strong enough for this. I think it works great for walking my dog, however.

Very flimsy construction not a "durable" product by any means (i.e. don't drop it on the floor and break the shield that protects the batteries from coming out . . . ) Worth what I paid for it (I use it for knitting on the couch so I don't need a light while the others are watching t.v.) Handy, but not a "must have" item.

The size and quality of the wires is great. The lights aren't that great. The spots work just like you think they should, but the flood lights are so weak as to be almost useless. I'm still getting used to it.
