We have very high ceilings and have just replaced barely-reachable track lighting with recessed lights that might as well be on the moon (I've got no place to keep a tall step ladder). An Amazon search on "light bulb change pole" came up with this. And it is perfect. The pole extends from about four feet to about 12. It comes with attachments for flood light bulbs and for regular shaped bulbs. I'm delighted. This problem is gone. Highly recommended.

Our new home has a 13' high family room ceiling. The light above the stairs to the lower level burned out and is closer to 17" above the stairs. I read reviews about the bulb change kits that Lowe's and Home Depot carry and was not impressed by the reports of poor quality. The reviews for the Unger kit were substantially better. Amazon's price for the Unger kit seemed reasonable.

Shipping was very fast. I received it two days after ordering. (I live close to the distribution center). Twenty minutes after getting home from work the bulb was changed. The Unger unit is extremely easy to use. The quality is good and I'm sure that if treated properly it will last a long time.

Thanks to the people before me that reviewed this item, and to the people that review items I choose not to buy. Online reviews alone are worth the price I pay for the internet service.

This is the best flood light removal product I have used. The design of the suction cups works better than others I have had, and the pole locks into place more securely. In short, it does just what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. One word of warning. If you are are moving around bulbs which have not burned out, you should wait until they have cooled. I mistakenly tried to move a bulb that had been lit for a time without waiting more than 30 seconds after I turned off the switch. Well, the heat of the flood light proceeded to melt some of the suction cups on the remover. It still works, but not as well as before, but that was my mistake!
