I use these bulbs in my 5-Light Candolier (link below) and I string 100 of them on my Christmas tree.
The flicker action is awesome, and they provide a warm orange, yet not over-illuminating old-school feel.
I run a seperate line on my tree so I can run just the Flicker Lights at certain times. With so many on the tree they reflect light off the ornaments and cast shadows like a fireplace or candles would, which creates an extraordinary and impressive visual and decorative effect.
The bulbs usually last at least 3 seasons and typically much longer.
Try them, you won't be disappointed.

I leave them on from Thanksgiving day until New Years day. At 3-watts each, that's practically nothing. They're supposed to last for 1000hrs. The incandescent bulbs they replaced burned out fairly regularly, and drew 7-watts each. Besides, the dancing "flames" are just so much more interesting.
Honest reviews on Flicker Flame Light Bulb Dances with a Flickering Orange Glow
We bought these to go in our chandelier for a Halloween costume party. They add 0 light, but they're just for effect anyways. Very cool flickering. They remind me of something you'd see in the Haunted Mansion at Disney. We're quite pleased. Would have given a 5 star rating, but one of them didn't work. Not worth the hassle of an exchange since we only needed 9 and only needed them for one party.

I purchased these flicker bulbs because they are considered "out of season" at the stores usually they are only out at Xmas time. I wanted to changed out my non-flicker yellow/orange flame bulbs that I put in for Christmas onloy to realize that I could not find the few flicker bulbs I had left so, as usual, Amazon.com camed to the rescue they were a bit pricey with the shipping, etc but considering I received 10 bulbs and every single one worked, it was well worth the price.
