Light looks more like a light fixture than typical night lights. I have mine in a hall and the auto on/off feature is better than other night lights I have owned, this light stays off during daylight hours and only comes on at night. I keep mine upright covering both outlets unless I need to plug in my vacumn cleaner, then I turn the light length wise....no need to unplug it ...just rotate it 90 degrees.
