I purchased this last year specifically for musical performances so I could read my music when the overhead lighting was dimmed or turned off all together during choir performances.
Ironically, we used to sell these lights in Radio Shack when I worked there. I thought they were dumb but when I later needed one, I could not find them anywhere.
It's a VERY bright light, holds to any thin surface very well, and is swivel adjustable to angle it just right and it's the just the right size.
Overall, a great purchase. The description for this product was so lacking I ordered it on the basis of the photo. Big mistake. There are as many instructions as there is description, which is to say...none. It takes 3 AAA batteries, and only lasts 6 hours. Figuring out how to put in the batteries in is a chore in itself, because it is put together very weirdly and as mentioned has no instructions. It was bought for a Kindle and that was a mistake too...the thing weighs about as much as the Kindle does. To top it off it doesn't even work. Apparently I needed the instructions they left out because I can't even get it to light.
