We're redoing the master bath and this light is absolutely beautiful in there. I didn't put it up so I can't say how easy or difficult it was. The shipping was very fast and the light is exactly what was advertised. The light covers are a beautiful glass that's opaque (sp?) and has some light color tints in it. Amazon rocks!

Terrible quality. when it arrived the cross supports were not parallel with the support plate (the square base) and it was apparently done in the manufacturing, not the shipping because it was welded that way. There was no way to bend or correct it. Also, this unit was advertised as Venetian Bronze but it is a flat black color, no bronze tones, etc. It looks cheap from the paint finish and the angle of the arms to the base. Unfortunately, I was away when it came in and the electricial installed ($60 charge) it before I could look at it, so I am not sure I can even return it at this point.

First let me say that this looks great and is constructed of heavy metal and has very thick glass shades. A terrific-looking fixture.

There are a couple of problems that caused me to only give it three stars:

1. Although the fixture accepts any medium-based screw-in bulbs, the shades are so shallow that just about any bulb (including standard 60 or 100 watt incandescents) will stick out about an inch above (or below, depending on which way you mount the fixture) the shades. Notice that the pictures do not actually show the bulbs. We wanted to use compact fluorescents with this (we mounted it with openings down) but the top twist of even the smallest available bulb stuck out below the glass. Ended up with 3 PAR20 LED flood lamps which come flush to the bottom of the shade. I like the bulbs but hadn't planned on spending another $90 on bulbs for this fixture.

2. Sloppy manufacture. We mounted the fixture with a level on the back plate. This resulted in a definite pitch to the arms to one side. Turns out that the fixture is attached crookedly to the back plate. Once we adjusted the fixture so the arms are level it looks fine because you really have to look closely to see that the back plate is slightly crooked.

Bottom line is that it can look great but you'll have some mounting and bulb challenges to get the great look.

The shade is nice but the base it total junk. I immediately returned the set I bought. Specifically, the arm on which the shade is mounted had too much play in it. Two thumbs down, not recommended.
