I'll keep this short and to the point, I dont know why there is a bad review from this other customer about this fan but all I can say is that this thing moves some serious air and is super quiet while doing it. Maybe his blades are on upside down or something.....

I purchased 2 of these ceiling fans for our patio. They were professionally installed by a licensed electrician. I researched a number of fans online and purchased these because I liked the look AND the purported air movement ratings. While these fans do look nice and fit well with our patio decor, the amount of air output is beyond disappointing for such an expensive fan. Even on the highest setting, you can barely tell these fans are on! And yes, I did make sure the switch was in "Summer" mode and there is no chain on these fans to adjust at the fan it's all controlled at the wall switch.The fans are on the same switch, so I called Emerson Technical Support to make sure we purchased the correct dual switch we did. In fact, I had the electrician come back out and hardwire the fans (remove the switch) and there was no difference/improvement. While I'd love to return these, it would be cost prohibitive to pay the electrician to come back out to remove the fans and then reinstall new ceiling fans. So, I'll guess we'll just chalk it up to a very expensive lesson...in the future, I'll stick with Casablanca we have 3 of their fans in our house and the output of those fans is 2-3x Emerson's Carrera Grande on the highest setting...
