I work at an electrical contractor in Florida. This is the first LED lamp that dims perfectly with a regular, incandescent (forward-phase triac) dimmer all the way down to (basically) 0%. You can barely see the light cutoff. You can fade it down to very very dim, and there's no hum (its quieter than an incandescent!).
Installed, you couldn't tell the difference between this lamp and a normal incandescent 65BR30, except this lamp is somewhat brighter, and the light is completely even. You cannot see any individual LEDs just a nice, even glow.
Great work, TCP! LEDs have arrived.

These are the best LED light bulbs I've purchased. They are sturdy, turn on instantly when you flip the switch, and cast a very broad light across the room (i.e., they are not "spot" light bulbs). They have a nice shape and look very natural in recessed cans. Honestly, you can't tell the difference between this bulb and an incandescent. This bulb is slightly brighter than a 60 watt incandescent. This means that it appears to cast an ever so slightly "whiter" color than a 60 watt incandescent. However, to see the difference you have to have this bulb and a 60 watt incandescent on side-by-side. The difference is so small that it shouldn't matter to anyone.

I'll be short. I have tested dozens of br30 LEDs and these are the best hands down. They give off about 700 lumens even though they are rated at 650, they turn instantly on (unlike Philips LEDs) and they have a superior cri. Also, they only use 11 watts, so far, these have the best watt per lumen of any bulb out there. In short, there is no difference of light from regular br30's and these except ultra efficiency.Honest reviews on TCP LED11E26BR3027K 2700K 11-Watt Dimmable BR30 Flood LED Lamp
After first purchasing an EcoBright Par 30, and being very disappointed, (way too yellow and limited dimming) I turned to the TCP BR30 and hoped for the best. It DID NOT disappoint!. I have it along side five Par 30 halogens in the kitchen (inside 5 inch recessed cans) and the color and light output is virtually the same. The TCP has a wider angle, so a tad less light hits the counter directly below, but it illuminates more counter space. It dims to almost 0, on par with the halogens. The lens is frosted and therefore the light does not produce an annoying glare if you look at it directly. I need look no further and have ordered 12 more.As a side note: both the EcoBright and TCP list the color at 2700k but they are not even close to being comparable. If you want yellow (and I mean Yellow) go with the EcoBright but if you want same as halogen color the TCP will not disappoint.

We purchased these lamps based on recommendations from Amazon and have been extremely satisfied! We are extremely picky about the quality of the light in our home and could only use incandescents until now.Advantages:
When receiving the product the first thing to be noted is the weight. These lamps are dense and feel very well made. No part of the lamp wobbles or wiggles when stressed in the hands. The packaging is very sturdy and seems to protect the product very well. We have received no bad lamps out of several orders (totaling about 20 lamps so far).
The package as well as the lamp base are both labeled with the model information and statistics for the lamp (many other lamps are not labeled in this way so you don't know what you are getting). Voltage, wattage, amperage, color temperature, model number, are all listed.
The lamps themselves look very nice, with no marks or writing of any kind on the lens. This makes for a very professional look when installed in fixtures.
As other reviewers have noted, these are slightly brighter than other 65w incandescent lamps, which we don't mind since they are dimmable. The extra light is actually a plus since we live in Seattle and use it during the darker winter months.
The light is extremely uniform in all directions even when dimmed, and the dimming is very smooth. We can't get them to dim down to 0%, but this is probably due to the type of dimmer switch installed (not sure what type). They still dim low enough for all our lighting requirements.
The color of the light is very nice. It isn't clear how close to 2700k they are, but they seem to match the previous incandescent bulbs very closely and provide a warm, natural light.
There is no noticeable buzz or hum at any brightness level, when starting the lamps or even after they have been running all day. We had to replace several of the previous incandescent lamps because they started to buzz even when at 100%.
During normal startup, the lamps seem to come on similarly to incandescents by ramping up to full brightness rapidly. There is low light immediately as the switch is engaged, followed very quickly by full brightness (much, much less than a second).
Disadvantages:
Price. They are quite expensive compared to cheaper CLF and LED lamps. For us, they are worth every penny since they perform so well compared to the rest of the competition and save a large amount of wattage. The don't seem to suffer from any of the (numerous) down sides of other products.
When first turning on a brand new lamp, there seems to be a slight flicker as they come on, but this only seems to happen the very first time. We only really noticed it when looking directly at the lamp when turning it on and it is very brief. This may come back after not using the lamps for very long periods of time, we aren't really sure.
Unknowns:
The usable life of the lamps is totally unknown to us at this point. We have only started buying them in 2013, but so far all of them are still working perfectly.
