To get beyond the negative right at the start...this seems a little pricey for this item. I mean, seriously, it's really not much of a contraption. A gooseneck, some led lights...shouldn't be more than 50 bucks. Right? I guess if you've done much shopping for lamps, you're prepared for the cost.
Besides, I was desperate.
I had a halogen bedside lamp that was cooking the top of my head. And more than that...it burned my hand every time I shifted around to a different position.
So I gave this a try. Installs in minutes, although it doesn't come with any installation instructions. I'm pretty handy, but it's always nice to have a guideline for reassurance.
It looks great if you like a kind of vintage, steam-punk design and it puts the light right where you need it. The light is very cool color wise and temp wise great for reading and best of all, it doesn't spill out into the room so you don't disturb your partner. The gooseneck is pretty responsive. If I was going to complain, I'd say it would be nice if it was just a couple of inches longer, but, what the heck...I love it.
